As I am also in the industry (4 star establishment)I found the staff were 1st class and very helpful.The cleanliness of our room and breakfast room were excellent and I will be recommending this business to any of our guests who may be visiting Launceston. I will be staying again for the next couple of days as my husband has been readmitted to hospital.

the view was good as that was a requirement we requested. The closeness to the city meant we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and it was an ample meal for us and was presented very nicely. The main thing was the room was clean.

The management and staff were so friendly and helpful one could ask anything.We were particularly grateful for assistance booking a car on arrival Melbourne after our departure as the Manager saved us some money.Overall the team made our stay very enjoyable and if that way again we would stay there.Also the meals we had there were very enjoyable the best cheese platter.

Location is great as is layout of the double room with an alcove off the main bedroom. Food continues to be adventurous and good although not cheap. Continental breakfast had an excellent range of choices. As I have been staying at this hotel for years, it is still living off the reputation earned under a previous manager whose sense of 'family' with his guests made this the best hotel in town. With greater competition in more recent years, the hotel will either have to get better at its customer service or become more price competitive. Female staff can tend to fluster and wifi costs were not as advertised.
