The hotel has a strong sense of being a family business which is appealing. My husband and I were made to feel very welcome which was appreciated after a long trip. The staff also went out of their way to assist us with bookings etc. The breakfast was an added bonus which we certainly appreciated. I would certainly recommend the Balmoral on York to my friends as good value accommodation. |

Everything was clean and comfortable. Room was serviced daily. Staff friendly and helpful. Location good and central. Was a little disappointed with the buffet breakfast which was included in the tarrif in that it did not include a cooked breakfast, that was extra $'s apparently. |

The friendliness of the staff was of note during my stay, and the quality of the continental breakfast was also very pleasing. The air conditioner made a noise all night and as I had checked in later I was unable to have this fixed. |

The warm and friendly staff, the size of the balcony, and the TV When my wife asked for some crumpets for breakfast she was brought frozen ones which was fully unexceptable, then was asked if she wanted them micowaved. |

Very comfortable bed Buffet breakfast (included) is buffet continental, normally buffet is cooked. Just needs to be clarified on booking forms. |
