Area information

Barossa is one of the finest wine-producing regions in Australia, with an increasing international reputation. Many of the wineries are open for tasting and there are a number of tours organized.

There are a number of local restaurants serving meals from locally-grown fresh ingredients and influenced by the German heritage of locals.

The region is predominantly Lutheran, and you will see a number of beautiful stone churches originating from the 19th century.

Bradley Mature couple Coolangatta, Australia November 2, 2011	The check-out person (male Indian gentleman was very helpful and provided directions and map to our next destination and also noted our complaints The check-in/reception staff (two females) were unfriendly and did not offer any assistance or services and were uncomfortable about the dining being provided in the golf club. The entrance to our apartment was very badly soiled and had lots of dirt and bird droppings on it - hardly a nice entrance to our apartment. The power at the desk was not connected. Buffet breakfast had very good variety both hot and cold. Parking spaces can become limited, bbq was very poorly maintained and little in the way of amenities to clean it before use. Bathrooms need a good deep clean rather than daily brush over. Slight Mould build up. The also need more coffee machine's in the breakfast area or a waiter walking around with hot coffee for table side top ups. At times the queue was 9 deep waiting for your turn. I would of loved some grilled tomatoes though! Beds were comfy, but I didnt like sheet/quilt/sheet thing. Not much to chose from off the room service menu. Couldn't order the veggie and lentil soup as its no longer served, yet its still on the menu. Remote control in our room didn't work properly (room 263). Didn't like the fact there was no screen in the shower to stop water going everywhere. Didnt see an elevator, which sucked getting my heavy suitcase up and down the stairs. Charged $27 for internet, I was unaware of this cost, that is a rip-off and if I pay $360 a night for a room it should have been included, charging guests for the internet in this day and age is a lame. The bathroom - the bathtub was too small to have a bath, and not wide enough to stand comfortably while having a shower. In fact it was dangerous. Also, the Pool, while it looked nice, was not usable due to insects crawling all around and floating in the water. Lastly, the breakfasts were below expectations for a hotel of this standard.
