The cottages were very welcoming. They are located behind the private home in which the owners live, therefore we had immediate attention, including warm freshly made bread and an assortment of local food for breakfast and nibbles. The bottle of wine was an extra bonus. We took three cottages with two other couples and it worked beautifully for us. As the weather turned cold we were delighted with the wood fire. During our weekend we were able to easily visit several wineries although there seemed to be less to do in Bethany which is a small community. Tanunda was the main attraction.

Friendly hostess, excellent food supplies for breakfast...did us for dinner as well a couple of nights...delicious home baked hot bread..comfortable bed...and friendly chooks..!! No adverse comments about cottages first class...felt sad for beautifull parrot in a small cage though, and birds like to bathe every day,a simple matter to fix..

Modern, well- equipped units, with plenty of provisions. Quiet and peaceful, as set back from road, and only a short drive to Tanunda. Nice rotunda area for barbecues, especially when with a group. Will be better when the trees have grown and can provide shade; and if lawn can be established at the front of the units.

Just what we needed! After leaving accommodation in the city that was very clinical, cold and extremely uncomfortable, we breathed a sigh of relief when we opened the door to our little cottage. The cottage was extremely cosy with a wood fireplace, our own little country kitchenette, beautiful spa bathroom and comfortable furniture. Local produce was waiting for us to sample on arrival, including a delivery of warm freshly baked bread. The cottage was finished very well with quality fixtures/furnishings and most importantly a comfortable bed! (we had broken backs from the previous places we had stayed!). It is extremely well situated in the Barossa with most places of interest being roughly a 15 min drive away. The main town centre of Tununda was only a 5 min drive away, however the location of the cottages are far enough away from town to feel like you are really having a getaway from it all.

We stayed for 4 nights. On arrival there was a delicious bottle of Cabernet Merlot, pate and crisp bread.(for persons staying 2 nights or more). In the fridge there were 8 fresh farm eggs, bacon, yoghurts fresh milk, tomatoes, mushrooms, butter and orange juice, replaced every 2 days. Fresh home made bread delivered every two days. The chickens visit every afternoon. It is such a peaceful relaxing place with only the sounds of birds to hear. It is only a 2 minute drive to the centre of Tanunda.

We liked the attention to detail, the decor, the cleanliness, of the whole place and the spa. The extras eg pate, port, chocolates, wine and bark (cracker bread) Plenty of provisions for breakfast the freshly baked bread, real milk, real butter, fresh farm eggs. We didnt feel anything was skimped. We liked the quality cookware coffee machine, utensils they all give the feeling of being "treated". Lovely towels and plenty of them, nice bedlinen an area to sit outside and watch the sun go down, electric blankets good heating and a wood heater, movies on line. The quietness not on a busy road. A delightful hostess and host and the feeling nothing was too much trouble for them. Only thing was we are used to a soft bed, mattress was a bit firm for us, but not unbearable and it wouldnt put us off going back.

Barossa Vineyard Cottages were our favourite South Australian stay. The gorgeous, cosy location was enhanced by the host's warm welcome, delicious and generous provisions including freshly baked bead, smoky bacon, port and chocolates, 150 movies on tap and secluded location amongst the local Bethany vineyards. Everyone commented in the guestbook, "We'll be back!" I would certainly return. absolutely nothing

The cottages provided everything we needed and more. A fully equipped kitchen was a a real bonus because we like cooking our meals from scratch using local ingredients. The fridge was bursting with breakfast ingredients including free range eggs, local bacon and sausages, cereals, yoghurt, mushrooms, tomatoes, home made bread and even a bottle of wine made from the vines on the property with pate and bark on arrival....Superb! The bed was comfortable, location was quiet and the owner was welcoming and friendly. We loved the whole experience.

Excellent location and facility. Gourmet food, home-cooked bread and fresh eggs from their own free range hens. Very serene at night. A wonderful place to unwind and relax. The Trains blowing their horns at 6:30 am as they get close to a nearby crossing! The entrance to the property is not signposted, so it took a while to find.

The luxury at an affordable price. The fresh bread delivered on arrival straight from the oven, the local milk, fresh eggs and a selection of goodies from the Barossa Valley all stocking the fridge. Also the wine and port! It could not have been better. congratulations to Sandra, she thought of everything.
