Thanks for this opportunity. I was going to email owner but hope you can pass on my thoughts. This was a delightful place to stay. No frills, but no mean penny pinching either. It was a basic room, but very clean, divinely cool with air con and bathroom and kitchen were both spotless. Natalie has the place ticking along well and she was friendly and helpful to me. I wish her well in her future. Please tell her I said Kia Kaha, which is stand strong in Maori. Noing.

Natalie the manager was an absolute GEM!! The rooms were simple and clean, and the lodge itself was very well laid out and facilities met all requirments. The best thing about Baraamundi was the personable atmosphere, myself and the group i travelled with felt extremely welcomed and at home! Thanks Nat, you're the greatest!! I hope to stay with you again soon!

The location mainly. A ten/fifteen minute walk from the main town area but in a fairly quiet residential area, overlooking a golf course and away from the noisy bars/clubs etc. The whole complex appeared somewhat run down. The shared showers/toilets were outdated and dirty, with gaps around the window area that people could see in from the outside, although there was always hot water. The toilets were not checked by the staff and were without toilet rolls and paper towels for several days. The microwave in the accommodation was filfthy and a leg was missing from the bed. A televison was provided but there was no remote control.

Close to City and the Casino, and has a lovely pool area. Have to try to locate staff - even for check in. Ended up using my mobile to phone and when they answered I told them I was at reception to check in.

The beds were quite comfortable. Shower and toilets were clean although just one shower and one toilet available. The kitchen in the room has been appreciated The room wasnt at all as presented on booking.com : it was old and poorly taken care of. No breakfast available. The price was too high for the service provided for sure.

The location was excellent close to the Botanical Gardens. The gentlement cleaning the shared toilet and shower was friendly and helpful. The filthy disgusting stove top, the dirty utensils and crockery in the kitchenette, the noisy neighbours who had a punch-up, the squeeky noisy bunk beds and the unwelcoming receptionist who seemed reluctant to provide any service.

Large rooms, a good laundry, nice looking pool although we didn't use it. The lodge was very noisy, people talking loudly on the outside balcony until the early hours, this included dropping a bottle with the associated noise of breaking glass and clearing up. The following morning people started leaving the car park (directly outside the rooms) from 4 o'clock in the morning, therefore very little sleep was had. Also the hot water tap in our sink did not work.

I got exactly what I requested, options to stay in the centre of Darwin at short notice are limited. There was no handle on the hot water tap. Do you have more luxurious rooms or are they to the same level, with a breakfast package included.

The room I was in this time was very small. However it had plenty of wardrobe space. Some hooks to hang wet articles would be useful. The pool was very clean this time. Bathroom facilities were very clean. The older staff member was very friendly and helpful. The younger girl was okay, but fairly reserved. I'll definitely try to specify that I get a room in the double building next time. The front rooms near the office are very small and noisy at night.

The assistant manager was friendly and helpful. The matrass of one of the beds was very thin and we had to lie it on the ground to have some stability. The lying chairs near the swimming pool were broken. There was no luggage storage available. Last year there was a friendly manager, Paula. It was a pity that she wasn't there anymore.

It was quiet which was the main reason for choosing this accommodation as well as within my budget. Reviews of nearby accommodation were that they were very noisy closer into the cbd. It was too far to walk home at night as a single female from the cbd so had to get a taxi. Didn't feel comfortable walking home near the lodge as the streets around the lodge were dark and it was opposite a golf course and bush. As it was, I chose not to use the kitchen for meals and ate out, however if you wanted to self cater the kitchen looked very tired and in need of an update. It had two rusty stove top burners. Cutlery and crockery were sitting in plastic boxes on the floor. The kitchen was a very small room and it had an unusual smell which helped me to make up my mind to eat out. Only one shared toilet and shower on the ground floor where my room was. Couldnt go to the toilet when someone was in the shower.

Convenient to central business district. Park and golf course across the street. Somewhat inexpensive. Tiny, minimally furnished room with bath shared by several guests is not a good value at $70 per day.
