The Staff, The location, Facilities,
No I haven't got anything to say about the facilities.
Cheap, friendly and hassle free.
Every tap leaked and could of been cleaned better.
Dishonest employee.A retunable $20 deposit is payable on arrive, and we left luggage cost $6,retun the key on leave, but the employee refused to return $14 deposit.
Spacious dorms, each dorm had a separate bathroom, clean, beds comfy.
The furthest one from the transit centre - they run a shuttle which doesn't start until 7:30, so if you arrive on the 7:00 bus it seems like a long walk, had to hire mugs and cutlery - but no signs saying this, there was always long queues at reception and despite lots of people behind the desk only one person could do anything,
Close to bus stop that bring you at the Marina, where all the ferry departs to the Whitsunday Islands, Friendly staff, x base travel desk for help you out to organize your holiday. I really liked the way the rooms are, it seems to be a resort!
one small thing that i noticed, in our room there was spiders in every single corner in the room, with them spider web. No a big problem, there is a lot of green around, and i know they are everywhere but i suggest to clean better the room.
The location is very good directly at the lagoon and the center. The camping there is very nice as well.
We were Staying there to leave on a sailing trip the next day and couldn't sleep because we were put into a room with workers for accommodation that had friends over and were loud half the night. The bathroom was horrendous and hasn't been cleaned in a long long time. I guess the hostel is good for people that look to party with others but not if u seek for a good sleep before a trip. The kitchen was poor equipped for so many people cooking there.
NEED NEW PILLOWS
Being central to all in the location.
The bed was very hard for this old body.
The location was perfect very central
The curtains that weren't big enough to cover the windows. The condom packets & tampons along the outside paths. The taps that leaked into the wardrobe & dripped all night. The ' clean' cups that were stuck to the saucers with something sticky. The TV that didn't work
Rooms are very basic but are clean and tidy. Showers are great - best water pressure I've had in my life! Toiletries are provided Nice and quiet at the back rooms Great bar near the reception Lots of other young people to mingle and talk to if you want So close to everything
No fridge in Deluxe Double Room Price is expensive for a Private room and bathroom if you are a backpacker, but for one night visiting Airlie Beach its a good option!
all very bad!!!
Good situated, Pool, nice Rooms, Restaurant has good Deals and Good Food
Really bad staff at reception, no Free WiFi, no free baggage store
Location and price, staff were friendly.
Room was not clean, bed had no covers. Hairs on the sink and in the bed. We didnt arrive early either so should have been plenty of time to have cleaned it.
U get what u pay for
Individual bungalows, the place was clean, staff is friendly, discount with base on selected tours
all taps are constantly dripping and not just in my room, the noise gets on your nerve
Arrogant staff Cooking facilities Poor Hygiene
Easy going atmosphere. Friendly staff. Excellent position. Good meal deals at the attached hotel. Large room overlooking an attractive pool and garden area.
TV did not work. Missing curtain in the kitchen so sleeping area could be viewed from the gardens. No shower curtain.
The dryer had problem but they didn't put the caution. Asking for help from the reception, they said : that's YOUR PROBLEM to put the money into the machine. And if I still ask they refund the money she could kick me out of the hostel... What a terrible hostel. They didn't say sorry or provide any help to me.
Great staff, especially the Queenstown, (NZ) lady on the evening shift 2/7/14, who looked after us older people, (the oldest backpackers in the place). The on-site bar/restaurant was good value and "jumping".
Lack of lighting in grounds and poor numbering of blocks.
the location was good staff were friendly and helpful
I did not realist It was a back packers resort - not clear when I booked. Mould around bath and toilet area Room in poor condition Bed uncomfortable
friendly staff, picked us up at bus station, but no shuttle at departure day offered.
huge room but almost empty. very spacious kitchen corner but with nothing in there, no fridge, no hot plate. kitchen was pretty far away from our room as the whole area is very big! 2 spare beds (we booked a double room) but no chair, table, tv. dead fly and hairs on the bathroom floor. only thin sheets in the bed, would have been too cold without sleeping bags (end of June)
The common kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We stayed in a four bed room with our own kitchen and fridge which made our stay very comfortable. The location is excellent, being in the main avenue of Airlie Beach, in fron of the artificial lake.
It's not a big issue but there were not space to keep our things...
The location is very good. Direct in town centre and near the Lagoon. They have a bar with nice meal deals and also some entertainment.
The kitchen had very poor equipment. No mugs and not many pans.
