The beds were comfortable .
Service at reception. Cleanliness of room.
location staff price kitchen room
Saturday night have music its loud but that's how clubs and hotels make money
Close to eateries.
The staircase, disco operating below the window, lack of top sheet, poor follow up for an additional chair, no bath mat.
the stuff was good very Quit place to stay I will be staying their more often thank u for every think from Allan turner
-helpful and informative staff -convenient location -available parking -common area
-my room was located above a club, it was noisy even after hours -wifi was not working -ensuite toilet, construction was abit odd. i cannot fully close the toilet door and shower door.
Location and friendliness
Staff very helpful and accommodating. Location very close to the centre of the town and in a quiet neighborhood.
Renovations going on all over the hotel - lobby area, rooms and hallways. Smell of paint fumes could be overwhelming to say the least. Wifi never worked properly throughout my stay. Don't stay on the first Sunday of the month as this is the night management opens up the bar (no alcohol allowed) for kids under the legal drinking age - band playing on the Sunday night of my stay kept me awake until very late.
1. location 2. kitchen facilities 3. comfortable bed 4. quiet air con 5. helpfuf staff 6. friendly atmosphere
1. No blind/curtin in bathroom/toilet 2. water leak in shower 3. intoxicated guest's at 3.30am
Obviously the central location. It calls itself a budget hotel and for us they were one of the cheapest. Lots of renovation going on so hopefully it will bring the place to life.
Staff will not serve you until 2pm exactly. You will have to wait if you arrive early. It's a bit dead except at night when you get the doof doof from the nightclub but only until midnight.
staff were very helpful and pleasant. Free parking, adequate breakfast and comfortable bed for the price paid!
no lift for people...
Very affordable and although undergoing renovations room was very comfortable....new shower head, screen etc new carpet, bed very comfy and most important quiet
Did not affect us but check in finishing at 9pm not very traveller friendly as we came across single girl trying to get in 9.45pm when we came back from dinner.her plane was late and when we rang phone no.it just rang in office so luckily I was able to take her to grand chancellor next door and negotiated low rate as was late at night......if we hadn't, been there it would have bad for her on her own and couldn't,t speak much english...suggest that some direction is given on sign on door as to what to do if arrive after 9pm
Centrally located, good price
We got a full refund after returning to the hotel three times
Totally inappropriate for two middle aged women! There was a nightclub next door with loud music and crowd until 3am. Even with earplugs the beat reverberated through the bed. The staff said that someone should have rung us before we arrived but this didn't happen. The young staff were pleasant but the unseen 'boss' was not helpful.
Dodgy wiring, kept tripping power if you had more than one power switch turned on! In process of being renovated and will look lovely when done. But our room had been done already and looked grey and dreary. Guess I was just disappointed after some of the lovely places I stayed, that cost less and had more character and comfort. Stay was quiet but I wouldn't want to be there in a family room over a night club on a busy night.
Close to town
Painters in rooms and hallways began at 7am and left paint trays etc in corridors spoke loudly and strong smell of paint in room radio on too find out from hotel if still under renovation before booking
Value for money & has character
location and price
uncomfortable mattress tiny room shower water preasure
Very good location. Nice furniture, TV, fridge... Everything seemed to be very well prepared. The receptionist was very friendly and nice, although we didn't see her too often.
The mugs and plates weren't completely clean. The staff was absent for long periods and although in the booking description the check-out time was set for 8-10 am, nobody showed up from 9:45 -10 am so we left a note and put our bags back into the room. When we came to pick them up a sign said that the staff would be back in 15 minutes but after 20 minutes we left the place without having seen the staff again. At night it was very noisy as our room was directly over a night club. They closed quite early, but it was still annoying having to get up early in the morning. The internet didn't work. Asking for instructions we first received a password for a net that wasn't even available in our room. Then we were told that they were having a temporary problem with the internet they hoped to solve within a week and that we could only use the internet in the lobby for the moment.
Close to everything.
No safe car parking.
Close to shops
Beds need throwing on tip , lights did not work , night club down stairs was too noisy , off street parking was limited and tiny spaces had to park on street , insufficient heating
Night club under our room, going to all hours of the morning & we were staying in a family room! Could not get to sleep. No warning from staff. Very cold, 1 oil heater for the room. Don't have anything positive to say.
We were there in the off season so not too many around, very thoughtful staff facilities clean and good value for money. Would definitely stay there again.
I had no problems, but the communal kitchen, the other patrons needed to clean up after themselves. It shouldn't be left for someone else.
Good central location
THE NOISE - Extemely loud heavy metal music from the nightclub downstairs until 3am. Unbareable!!!
The staff were helpful and location was great but needs to be updated 4/5
Cracks in the ceiling of room and bathroom very stained
Noone at reception from 10:00am - 2:00pm is an absolute joke. It meant we missed the start of the Hawthorn game because we had to wait until someone arrived. I have told Hawthorn members not to use this Hotel when they travel to Tasmania
