Bay Hotel Motel  

Proximity to shopping, cafes, lakeside.

Would like to have kitchenettes available in rooms, or at least a minimal set of bowls & cutlery, enough to at least prepare a quick cereal breakfast.

I liked the layout of the rooms and the size of the rooms for the price. The place was clean and had plenty of hot water.

Only two things There were tea and coffee facilities, but there was no milk, neither UHT or fresh. The shower head was somewhat limiting.

Quiet room, away from the bustle of the pub. Comfortable.

When waiting to check in, a hotel bar staff member alerted the check-in staff. We heard the staff member say "well they'll just have to wait". Not the most welcoming thing to hear! Air conditioner/heater did not work, despite assistance from staff (after a second phone call). Driveway is hazardous and would preclude lowered cars from entering premises.

Right next door to a good pub that served nice food. A minutes walk further were several other eating options and a new Coles supermarket. Spacious and comfy room.

Someone else was given the same door key as us and disturbed us in the evening. A security problem had we been out!

The bedding was good.

Not enough sugar,coffee or milk and the tv well bad reception didn't get to watch it ,I was a little disappoint all round.

Nice spacious room, BBQ area and pool. Very close to shopping area and pub.

Layout of roads, dangerous crossing of cycle path.

Everything was excellant and the Bistro food and hotel staff were very pleasant

Friendly, prompt service. Good size room. Convenient location - good choice of meals in the adjoining hotel, or at the shopping centre in the same complex. Quiet area at night (Thursday night). Comfortable furniture.

I took the advice from someone on this site to take my own pillow. I'm glad I did. The pillows were a bit hard. Not a lot to complain about :)

It was a quiet stay. But loved that the pub was attached so we could have dinner and be nice and close to our room

The location in comparison to the venue I had to travel to for a training workshop - literally across the road

It was a little difficult to locate at night - I also didn't realise it was co-located with a pub

The hotel catered well for our needs - it was just what we needed for a one night stay. we had room 20 which was at the very end so it was nice quiet. Staff were nice. Didn't get to eat there but the food looked good.

The only negative were the pillows - flat. But that seem to be the same in most hotels - will remember to take mine with me next time.

It had a shopping centre

Very surprised Bookings.com would list such a rundown establishment as 3+ stars or at all. What a shocker!

We were designated the only disabled room with front door ramp, disabled shower with chair despite vacant rooms on either side of ours. My partner was devastated! The furnishings were water damaged eg fridge cabinet, bathroom fittings. Broken mirror in bedroom area. When booking, the online booking form had a 'Comments' box. I said we were celebrating a special occasion and would like a nice room'. The next morning we were told "this is is not read by Hotel staff as the computer generates the room". The young female staff member issuing the key was surly and should have picked this up & flagged it that we were allocated the disabled room, but didn'T. What should have been a romantic stay was a total disaster.
