Where to start! This place is filthy, possibly the dirtiest hostel i've ever stayed in. The kitchen has very few utensils/pots/pans and the ones that are in there look like you need a tetanus jab to use them. Fridges have food in the back of them that are so old, there is 'bin juice' dripping out of the bags and into the bottom of the fridge, which in turn leaks all over the kitchen floor making it lovely and sticky/smelly. Tables are so unclean in here i kept having to wipe one before i sat at it, ants everywhere - an ant even climbed into my food whilst i was trying to eat. Bathroom in the dorm was filthy, toilet didnt flush properly, kept having to fill a bucket with water to pour down it. Cockroaches in the rooms. I even found two cockroaches in my toiletry bag one morning. If this place was in the UK, the department of health would shut it down!!! No lockers either and they also let strange non travellers stay, we had a guy in our room that would only return at night, covered in twigs and leaf litter with no luggage, who stank. He'd then leave early morning again and do the same each night, he even slept in someone elses bed one night cause he decided this one bed was 'his'. I would advise people not to stay here. I only stayed here as i was under the impression it was newly bought out and intern had at least had a bit of work done on it.
Good location (for the town), hostel staff are really nice and also helpful. Room size of the 8 bed dorm i was in was nice and large. Pub next door serves good food (hostel reception gives a 50% off voucher).
