Bendigo Gateway Motel

Motel was good value for money, had good size rooms and was very clean.

Beds not the most comfortable, but not to bad for the price of the accomidation.

location was great! staff were great!

The room was a good size, plenty of room to move around the bed. The bed was very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Staff were very helpful

Not much

3 rooms booked through bookings.com but motel only reserved 1 room. The rest of us forced to find alternative accommodation. The couple that stayed there ordered breakfast for two but got breakfast for 1. I paid for the accommodation when we arrived and the couple that stayed there also paid for the accommodation?? Pretty poor all round

The bed was comfortable.

Refuse to take seniors card when they advertise it. Told no hot breakfast when they advertise it. Very noisy old airconditioner so we could not have it on during the night which was a very hot night. Shower had cracked mouldy tiles. I would not recommend this Motel to anybody.

I chose Bendigo Gateway Motel because it was close to a relative I was visiting. I was vy surptised at the cost of a night's stay...$120 For a single person...especially as I stay cheaper at hotels in London, Copenhagen, Los Angeles, Manchester and Melburne. Ross, the owner was very nice and even gave me a free, and very welcome in the early hours, Continental breakfast. The room was spotless, well appointed, even to a new shower curtain, freshly laundered quilts and sheets etc. I also appreciated the coffee and tea making facilities, which included two packets of biscuits. The toast, electric jug, hair dryer, heater and also main heating were excellent. If I have occasion to come back to Bendigo (it is the first time I have been there for more than fifty years) I would stay he again.

I felt the price was too high, but Ross explained this to me.

It was situated close to the sporting facility at Epson and thus enable a quick trip.

Convienient for our purpose

A little old - showers not very clean. Everytime someone left or arrived the owners dog would bark and bark.

Staff very helpful regarding places to eat. The man was very friendly and we did take his advise on where to eat( the food there was lovely) . The room was clean and even though it was cold outside it was beautiful and warm inside.

It was very convenient for us the hotel room was clean ,If you are picky there was a bit of dust on the globe of the lamps but that's no problem to us. We had a very good sleep at the Motel, I'm a very bad sleeper in a different bed and I had one very good night away from home.It was quite , good location close to the small township of Eaglehawk and we will use it again and out children have used it before and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We can only recommend the Motel. Basic facilities but for the price it's fine. We will be back.

Perhaps either bigger or more towels.

Rooms clean, beds comfortable, shower great.

Rather out of date and unclean (except for the sheets - they were ok). The room could have done with a very good dusting (including windows to get rid of cobwebs) and a vacuum (especially around the fridge). The blinds left a lot to be desired!!

Convenient on my trip through to Melbourne. I have stayed there before and I know that it is close to rsl and bendigo city. It is also near the turn off to Melbourne so very convenient. Willingness of staff to do a cooked breakfast for me. Thanks very much. WIllingness of staff to help with bags when a need was seen.

Cigarette smoke came under the door from people smoking outside.

it really needs aspruce up cobwebs draping across mirror at washing area mirror poorly cleaned .rather large stain on carpet although toaster supplied no facilities i.e knife plates no glasses for refreshments sink badly stained

Convenience in location and comfortable for a short stay. Fairly quiet.

Assuming that the room had been paid for when credit card details were given at time of booking only to find we had to pay on arrival.

It was convenient. It was clean. The host was pleasant and helpful.

It was old. Some of fitting were broken and/or not working properly. I.E., blinds. I thought twin share would mean a double plus a single. However, we had a double plus fold-out divan in room.
