Close to where we worked and our demands were net. Would stay again
Vicinity to Bendigo showground and city. Nice hot shower. Relatively quiet at night but that may be because the air con unit was so noisy
Very Dirty spare pillows - yuk! Dirty, dusty lounge Very noisy heater/air con unit Manager is a smoker and reception reeked of smoke to the point I was involuntarily holding my breath. Manager was also a bit rude, not helpful on check in/out, and we're never offered if we wanted breakfast but after seeing the pillows I'm glad.
The gentleman at reception gave the view that he was doing us a favour by serving us. Rooms were from the 1970's, only heating was a $19 Harvey Norman type heater and it was 1 degree overnight, bathroom needed a proper clean and shower curtain had mould on it. Breakfast offered was a cold breakfast in the middle of winter. Would not stay there again even if they paid me. The motel needs to be totally renovated or pulled down and re-built. Don't know why booking.com has it on their books.
great for a stopover hot shower comfy bed
Close to shops
Bit run down
This was our 5th or 6th time we stayed but nothing good to say at all.
The first room we had smelt, wasn't to clean and the toilet wasn't working properly. The next room I ended up with ants all over me when I sat in the chair. I had to shower before getting ants out of clothes the chair and the bench. I was furious as it took 1 1/2 hrs to get rid of them and this was 12.30am. The manager was quite rude to us. Just not happy...
Well priced and accommodated well to our needs and requests.
The male checkin staff member was uncaring and rude. There was no knives or forks or crockery. The doors had holes in them. There was no second bathroom (which was advertised). We left one night early as the motel was so shocking.
Good hotel for low value
For a weary traveller the shower and the bed were excellent. Close to the gardens and food outlets Wonderful that we could have our dog
Noise of trucks
The location was very convenience for our stay
Furniture was extremely threadbare, venetion blinds were not working, blind on door was broken also. Soap dispenser was empty. We regularly stay at Golden Chain motels and this one was the worst we have ever stayed at.
Quite close to main Bendigo Good for just sleeping
The allocated room had not been cleaned no bed made, had to get another room. Had breakfast facilities e.g toaster, no plates or knives for spreading only tspoons. Disappointing really
Good for jst sleeping lucky we were out all day
Hadnt been dusted quiet stuffy and the room hadnt been aired even though we had booked it 2 weeks in advance
Shower good. Very clean. Quiet location, not much traffic noise.
only 1 facecloth for 2 people. Louvre blinds were difficult to close. Front sliding window was jammed.
Spider webs in room, cockroaches in shower, badly in need of refurbishment.
Motel room was not clean. Wasp nest in bed. room was musty and I general unclean. Old and broken tiles in bathroom which could have been forgiven if room had been clean and staff had been helpful and welcoming.
For the price we paid it was good value for money. We found the bed very comfortable and had a wonderful sleep. The Motel was only 2mins away from where we were visiting, so location was perfect for us. It was pretty clean when we arrived and it was the same room we stayed in earlier in the year. Breakfast came the night before and then we could make it when we wanted to in the morning, working out a lot better for us. We had an enjoyable stay as we did the time before this. We will be up again, perhaps in the new year but defiantly coming up again. Thank you, from Lia and Nige.
The only thing was, there were a few cobwebs and it was dusty this time round. It wasn't the end of the world though...
Miserly supplies and outdated decor.
Our stay was really good, our room was clean, comfortable and though close to the road it was quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and will be staying again next time we go to Bendigo. It was value for the price.
Nothing a little update couldn't fix.
It was close to where we had a function.
It smelt a bit stale when we first went into the room, and it needs an update, especially the ensuite.
