Staff were friendly and helpful
No restraurant/pool. Breakfast order not correct. Wifi did not work. Motel has changed ownership and was not Best Western. It was in the process of handover. This needs to be changed on the websites.
size & cleanliness
The pool was shut & we were not told on booking. The restaurant was also closed. The kitchen in the unit wasn't well equipped. There was a washing machine & clothes line but no pegs. They do not think about peoples needs. Very disappointing. We were on a road trip from Sydney to Adelaide then along the Great Ocean Rd, to Melbourne then back up the coast to Sydney & it was the most expensive stay on the whole trip & no better than anywhere else
Location to shops, malls and public pool was good. TV was good size.
Pool not working over Christmas! Unite had not been cleaned properly. Beds had hair all through them, bath had a ring of dirt around it; we had to get bed sheets all replaced in unite. Spear bed which was a couch with a pull out mattress....(how they could call that a bed), worst sleep ever, springs in my back all night. I had to sleep in it because my children couldn't. I asked for a lay-down mattress to sleep on the floor but they had none. So much for four star. Restaurant was closed. when asked what was going on the answer was "the sale of the motel had fallen through". I had booked this accommodation 7 weeks earlier. No email was sent to notify of change of ownership or the sad state of up-keep on the motel. Also told if we didn't like it leave...Where could we go, Christmas!!! And a family booking of 6. Very poor.
"Under Administration" no signage, facilities e.g. Pool, barbecue and restaurant all closed and have been for some time. Kitchen was poorly equipped, broken kettle, very little crockery etc. 4 light globes were broken, could only use light with heat in bathroom.. Great on a 30 degree day! Sofas were very stained, no body wash in container in bathroom. Very disappointing that pool and BBQ closure was not on any website, would have chosen other accommodation. Front office was closed on Christmas Day with a sign on the door which read "no vacancies" I think we were the only people staying there. I'm just annoyed with the dishonesty. Money taken under false pretences!!! Will never stay there again.
Room was spacious but dark. Clean but very tired.
Arrived to find facility stripped of all signage. Told by a rather disinterested receptionist that the place is on the market. Enquired about the restaurant, -closed, the Bar, -likewise and most importantly on a 42.5 degree day the Pool, -no cant use it either. Possibly all we lacked was Basil Fawlty
There was no information given that their was some renovations taking place. So the pool and restaurant were unavailable for use. The rooms were not well appointed with an inadequate number of cups etc. When we requested a jug or carafe to chill some water they couldn't find anything.
Big rooms Good shower and spa
Being under renovation it looked closed from the outside. No signs on the building. Restaurant wasn't open. Room smelt a bit musty
Bed was comfortable and a good sized room and shower
Didn't like the fact that the pool was out of order and the staff did not inform us of this when we checked in.Also the spa was dirty and barely big enough for 2 people.Where was the tea and coffee and the hand soap in the bathroom
Value for money, clean, we had a Ground floor room, which made it easy. Staff very pleasant. Would stay there again.
The restaurant wasn't open due to not having a chef. Pool was unavailable. Other than that was a great stay
Position of motel.
We were looking forward to a swim in the pool when we arrived after long trip, but on arrival found swimming pool and restaurant closed which was very disappointing. Although room was clean it was all a bit tired.
Normally look for accommodation that has a restaurant you need to advertise this if it is not open.
Very quiet. Could not hear traffic or other guests. Comfortable beds with nice firm mattresses that didn't sag. Very spacious apartment rooms Washing machine and dryer in the apartment was very handy
Carpet in bedrooms clearly not vacuumed with fluff and dirt everywhere and VERY thick dust against skirting boards. Enormous cobwebs in every room. TV wasn't working properly even after staff assistance Wi-fi signal poor...only a weak signal in the lounge area. Nothing in rest of apartment. Lights for laundry cupboard area not working making use of machine difficult in the dark. Dryer kept stopping for no reason and needing to be reset Apartment for at least 4 people but only 2 spoons in cutlery drawer. Pool closed for "maintenance"
Dinner on the first night Receptionist's efficient manner Prompt response to request for first aid
Cutlery bag in room had been reused many time Cutlery had not been replaced I had only 2 knives with which to eat breakfast Towel was not replaced Toilet cistern was stuck & running (removed lid & fixed myself
Spacious room with all conveniences. Quiet, despite its location right on the highway, light and airy. Convenient parking at the base of the stairs, even though we were on the upper floor.
The location was fine, close to all amenities and parking adjacent to the room.
Nobody at reception on arrival. The furniture was inadequate and desperately in need of replacement. Table and only two chairs for a room that sleeps 6. Beds very uncomfortable. Kitchen cupboards filthy, I couldn't get a glass as they were stuck to the shelf. Had to clean the crockery before we used it. Overall very average and overpriced. Pool was also closed, but we obviously paid for that facility also.
Room is clean and tidy. Woman in the office on Friday and Monday was very lovely
My door lock broke, and the door could not shut securely let alone lock. I rang them about it sat PM..of course only get after hours reception, so ring the emergency after hours and the same security guy answers and said nothing they can do, will pass it on in the morning!! And no one came and enquired about it until just before 6pm sunday night!! Very poor. And breakfast the first day was for 2, delivered on a tray. everyday after that, or just left wrapped in gladwrap for only 1 person with no plates or cutlery?? One morning it was just a breaky on the go pack. On the last morning they rang at 7am to ask how I was and what breakfast did I want! VERY UNIMPRESSED WITH THAT CALL at that time and they hadn't asked any other day. The woman in the office on the Friday & Monday was amazingly friendly and lovely, the weekend reception people obviously need some training in service and organising the daily breakfast!
Excellent room comfortable and well set up
Carpet in room no 24 and cleanliness and spiders
Unlimited excess of wifi internet for all people during stay.we really face this problem
Nice big room. Lovely and clean. Restaurant was closed due to public holiday but room service was supplied instead - good meal.
No juice with our breakfast order. When we told them of this, they immediately offered to supply it but as we were leaving at this time, it was a bit pointless. Had to ask for that cost to be taken from the bill.
Close proximity to everything. The girl who cleaned our room was thorough and friendly.
Not enough milk for cup of tea over 4 days, no glass for a drink of water, the smell from smokers drifting up from the car park below, a spare towel to dry your hair would have been good. No designated car park we had to park on the end of the centre garden two nights. The water from the tap was orange for the first 30 seconds or so.
Lovely staff very friendly
Cold room no heater paid for top room in advance only 2 tv channels no comfortable place to sit other than bed
The carpets were quite soiled and you can tell because of the colour. Don't get the breakfast you would get better elsewhere. Bread was frozen and no tongs to select it. Bacon has no colour and looked like it was almost steamed. Cook placed more defrosted bread in tray using his hands and then he proceeded to wipe his nose on the back of his hand then I watched him pick it whilst he was clearing the glasses. 3 items does not constitute big breakfast go to Ziggys
The dinner served at the restaurant was amazing - brilliant chef. Buffet Breakfast was so-so...didn't like the instant coffee - thought proper plunger coffee would have been better.
TV was too far away for remote to work from the bed (could have been low batteries). The vessels containing liquid soap, shower gel, lotion, were all empty and we had to ask for them to be filled - suggest housekeeping check these and keep them topped up at all times. Very early one morning, there were young children constantly running up and down the pathway, screaming and calling out, so that anyone wanting peace and quiet to sleep, were awoken.
