The start was the fact there were no lifts to the 3rd floor ,the wifi was hopeless to non-existent ,the bedside clock was damaged and could not adjust the time , so no alarm , the mini bar was joke , the only snack was a Crunchie bar which had been bounced of the floor a few times so when I opened it ,it fell to bits all over the floor and despite telling reception in the morning , still charged me $3 for it ,the bathroom was not the cleanest and the wall at the entry was filthy ,they had told me there was a restaurant but when I arrived was told it was 100m along the road ,and when I went to find it passed it twice as there was no name as it was attached to the Rainbow hotel which again I was not told. The food was awful , the chips were over cooked and the remains of the chip pan were tipped on to my plate. I have never stayed in such a hovel , and will not be staying in the future . Cairns has such a huge tourist attractions like The Great Barrier Reef and the Rain Forest , and should not be allowed to provide such terrible accommodation .
The only thing was the location
