We left my daughter's cuddly koala and they arranged for it to be sent to our Sydney hotel. Can't ask better than that. Amazing breakfast too.
Location is great.
The filthiest hotel I had to sleep in in a long while. Just disgusting.
Jazz on Friday nights with bar open & good priced drinks. Old premises very well presented Great location can walk to lots of things also
Bathroom in need of renovation badly
Ok location not to far from city centre and attractions.
Breakfast was not available until 8am this is far to late, I would expect breakfast at a tourist hot spot to be 6:30 or 7
Staff were welcoming
This is an old building but that doesn't excuse the general state of disrepair. The floorboards creeked with every step, paper peeling off walls. The cups and teapot in the dining room were grimy, the white spout of the teapot had turned brown. But by far the worst was the cracked and mouldy shower. No way would I have put my feet on that floor. Old fashioned charm completely lost due to these disgusting problems.
Location was good. The breakfast provided in the tariff was a bonus.
There was an annoying dripping after the rain that even closing the windows couldn't shut out - it kept us awake. The wardrobe door wouldn't stay shut. The wall paper was peeling - it had seen better days.
old fashioned atmosphere, good breakfast and availability of 2 good coffee shops.
back access from car park could be improved.
We liked the old word charm of the hotel 1920s style, even the piped music was that era. We felt we stepped back in time, charming place and excellent value for money !
The cups at night were rattling, we are sure it was a ghost and we called him Jimmy, noisey but friendly enough.
Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast. Friendly staff.
The Staff were pleasant and the general feel of the hotel was nice.
I found the decore was tired and the place needs a face lift. Our room whilst large was really tired, the fridge was old and rickety and the bathroom door banged throughout the night.
Good help from receptionist when both children were ill.
Wifi solution did not work for us. Pool was not in use.
Atmosphere. Location. Breakfast.
Dirty cushion on bed. Wallpaper unpeeling. These would not take much to replace or repair.
Old world Charm friendly staff
Wallpaper peeling from bedroom wall general house keeping needs improvement hair dryer in bathroom in very poor condition .
Obviously used to be a grand place, but quite shabby now. Having to use the Internet in short time bites was frustrating.
the room was too out-dated. Needs re vamping
The atmosphere and the breakfast
The pool was out of action
The kindness of the staff . The staff specially at the breakfast there was a lady which was amayzing nice friendly and a very kind lady she new how to deal with the hotel gust . I thank her for her lovely sevice.
Just had difficulty to use the internet of the hotel we couldn't use the internet at all and the TV Chanel wasn't working. The breakfast was boring every morning same thing. And I paid ($200) per night for that king bedroom I don't thing it was fair for its price thank you. The rest were ok
The old fashioned parlour and generous breakfast
Squeaky floor boards
close to town & great walks
shabby décor couldn't leave windows open on ground floor no screens & cant lock. Dusty, paint peeking wallpaper in poor state.
the dinning room, breakfast.
The cup and sauce need to check, cracking. The hall way need to fix, when people walk make so much noise. I couldn't sleep. The first room oposite no:25, it need to update painting wall paper. The lounge room need to change the fake flower or arrange it nice. Thanks for the service. Staff need to dress more profestional.
The pool dose not work at that time
The breakfast was of good quality friendly staff and going inside the hotel is like stepping back in time
Friday night entertainment Breakfast included Lounge room and open fire Pool table and chess sets etc Food was good Staff friendly and accommodating
None of the areas ever felt warm enough, the fire when going didn't seem to give off much heat The fridge in the room was too noisy so we switched it off at night The double room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in but the shared areas made up for it The towels we left in the shower recess weren't changed
the atmospher, the decore staff and food
charming, 20s style hotel, terrific staff
there are bits and pieces in a bit of disrepair, cracked tiles etc, peeling wallpaper, but we still loved it.
