I went to Sydney for a holiday with my family and booked the 2 bed apartment at Breakfree. The apartment was really very disappointing. It was dirty and very smelly. Couldn't stay there so I contacted booking.com and they were very helpful. They talked to the hotel manager and we were shifted to a family room in their hotel the next morning which was a lot better than the apartment. It was clean.

2 bed apartments are in a separate building next door to the hotel so have to come outside and go to the restaurant which is v in convenient. Also very dirty, smelly and furniture is very old. Really disappointed to see the accommodation. Completely different to what the pics show.

The room was beutifull clean and spaceus staff friendly

We were in Sydney for the wedding that started at 3pm and litlebit of flexibility at check in time woud be great

The staff that we had contact with were friendly and helpful although they were few and far between as we only ever saw one staff member on the desk at reception. The beds were comfortable and despite the rest of the filth in the apartment they seemed clean. The position suited us as it was close to everything we wanted to visit.

When we arrived at the floor of our apartment (Floor 2 Room 207) we noticed straight away that the floor was filthy with dirt, bits of paper and rubbish and there was a bad smell. When we entered our room we noticed that it was exactly the same. The floor did not look swept or mopped as there was still black marks all over the floor and crumbs and hairs scattered through the apartment. I had to clean down every bench top in the apartment as there were crumbs on them and just general grime. The bathroom looked grotty and needed a really good scrub. We would not use any of the things provided like the cutlery or crockery as everything looked filthy. Also we were told on check-in that there was no parking available for us under the apartment building and that we would have to park in the hotel carpark which is located next to the apartment block (The hotel and apartments are two completely different buildings). The parking under the hotel was not secure at all as the gate was left open 24/7 meaning that anybody could access the carpark and this was the main reason that we chose this hotel to stay in. We had to walk out onto the street from the hotel carpark to access our apartment meaning that we had to carry all of our luggage a fair distance and we also had to do this late at night after returning from a day trip. Also the restaurant in the hotel never opened the whole time we were there for lunch or dinner and we had the buffet breakfast on the first morning of our stay and we vowed never to go back because it was so overpriced for what was available and the food was fairly unpleasant. Overall I have never had a bad experience with a Breakfree resort or hotel but this was just unacceptable. And we filled out a card at the end of our stay and listed all of our concerns and to this date I have still not been contacted by anybody to do with the hotel to ask about the situation. Very disappointing.

Staff were very helpful, room was clean and tidy and price compared to other hotels was good.

There was a restaurant/bar in the complex which was only used for breakfast over the weekend, would have been good to be able to have dinner or drinks there during the evening. Website said close to Olympic Park, it might have been if we had a car but had to catch 2 trains to get there. Close proximity in my book means you can walk to it. Had to actually ask for blankets to be put on the beds, excuse was that most people pushed them off because of the heat, have never come across that before. Didn't really like the location but that wasn't their fault I didn't know the Sydney geographical area.

The staff were friendly & helpful and the pool was great.

Room carpet had huge stains, no bedside light, furniture was old and needed replacement and bathroom sink was cracked!! NB we were offered another room but declined as was no better.

Toilet didnt work. Didnt have 3 single beds which is what we wanted. Didnt want room service but first day they came in when we werent there and second day they woke us up coming in.

Good place no apparent problems. Hoping I get my 50 dollar room deposit recredited to my maste card.

I liked that it had a kitchen, a laundry to wash and dry clothes and an ironing board. I was happy with the location Bankstown centro was around the corner and aldi across the road.

The furniture was outdated and the tiled floors were very dirty if you walked bare footed they turned black. I wasn't aware that the pool was not in the same building and it was dingy having to walk down stairs to access it. On this occasion we did not use the pool.

Close to train station, quiet location, comfortable beds, friendly staff, heaps of power outlets to charge computers, iron provided, gym plus indoor pool (so you can exercise even when it rains) We will be staying there again!

Room was a little tatty, eg handle missing off cupboard, chipped tiles in bathroom

The double bed unzipped to make two singles, never seen that before, what a great idea. All staff were friendly and professional and my stay was very comfortable.

The hotel was comfortable and clean with fresh towels and room service everyday & staff were very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was an added bonus at the end of the day.

The area was quite basic and didnt feel very safe wallking the streets in the evenings the restaurant/breakfast and bar in the hotel were not available for our entire stay, meaning that we had to find places to eat before returning back to our hotel/appt. The Train station was quite a walk away from the hotel

We found the staff friendly and helpful the rooms were comfortable

The staff tried hard to accomadate our needs I travelled with my grandchildren and we were able to have interconnecting rooms

The room we were staying in had a lot of hair in the shower drain. The furniture also needs an upgrade.

That a 2 Bedroom Apartment was available. 1 Bedroom with Queen bed and 1 with King Bed.

Reception Desk - Unattended when trying to book in at approx 17:20. Parking Area - Filthy. Lift - 'Enhanced' with cigarette butt & discarded Junk mail. Apartment - Aircon in Living room only/kitchen very poorly appointed/tiny TV out of the Ark/broken & misplaced vertical blinds/only one tiny cheap clock radio (in Bed 1) - not working.

Location is not ideal when you want to visit Sydney cbd. Bankstown is not the ideal place. Hotel bar and restaurant closes very early if they are open. Internet very expensive.

The rooms were clean and staff friendly and helpful. Centro Bankstown is only 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Aldi supermarket is about 2 minutes walk away. .

The hotel is about 22 years old and needs a refurbish. I stayed for 4 nights and for the price I expected a microwave oven and toaster at least.. Tv was very limited, a few channels only. What is annoying if the practice of prepaying for the stay and non-return of funds in case of a cancellation, even when this notice is weeks in advance. Seems to be the standard practice in Australia.
