-The buses to city works properly, but there are not much buses. -Nice room, well organized and a lot of facilities available inside the room (microwave, fridge and toilet).
- 30min by train. - The person in a room next to mine was smoking in the window.
Staff were patient and friendly.
The room was dirty and smelled like smoke. It was dingy and there was no linen (blankets) and nothing on the website stating thet you had to bring your own. The walls are paper thin and you can everything from the neighboring rooms. Also the key card they gave me didn't work meaning I had to line up for another 20 mins to get it sorted (they only had one staff member on for a friday night). My stay was uncomfortable and a hassle. I won't be staying there again. If you plan to stay here I recommend taking a bottle of white king and bulk detol.
Good value Reciprocal rights at Rydges next door for gym and bar/late night food Welcoming and helpful staff The view!!!
I liked the location and how close it was to where I had to be. I think I stayed at the sleep and go last time and it was a lot nicer than the budget 1
I didn't like that you have to pay for Wi-Fi and the bathroom where we stayed was very small and that with the budget 1 and the sleep and go to different hotels in 1 building and 1 is better than the other
Good location and view from the room. The staff was friendly and fast.
Tiny rooms, hallway smelt like urine. Had to change room card 2 times becaue it wouldn't open doors or work on the elevator. The air conditioner would turn off by itself and i had to turn it on more than 5 times during my stay. A lot of bugs coming through the windows.
Website said parking available onsite. No mention of having to pay.
The service provided by the staff was excellent. Facilities were good, however access to the in house internet cut off when the meals area closed, so no good for night owls or people contacting others overseas. There was ample parking, and my vehicle is oversized and I found parks easily.
The bed springs could be felt, and it was very low to the ground, making it awkward to get in/out of.
a good for all details , very friendly people , public trans port not so far away ! very quiet during night time !
My stay was great value for money in a fantastic location close to the city. The Bell train station was within walking distance which was the easiest way to get to the city. Tram stops were also easily accessible. For the price, the double room had everything necessary for my 3 night stay. Would certainly go back again.
The single bedroom was sufficient given the rates. The air-conditioning, hot water systems were fine. I enjoyed the multi channel TV selections.
The cleaners did not clean my room properly. There was too much noise disturbance from adjacent rooms.
Melbourne, the shops, cafes, and the people. Transport was really good and reliable.
maybe the weather could have been a bit warmer....
Cracks in walls were fixed with sticky tape lack of hygiene products when asking for more hygiene products and pillows to be sent up to room I had gotten a scowl from man at the desk bed linen had hair on them could smell cigarette smoke in room every half hour
the entry until you know where the entry is.
The room although small was not cluttered by bad layout. Staff did their job in a brisk and friendly way. The two soft pillows did work well, much better than one pillow for me as I like a firm pillow. Could watch TV while in bed. Every thing clean and tidy. No traffic noise in room 408.
Some noise from next room. Signage not good for hotel. Need to advertise as part on Bell City.
Had all you really need
Our bathroom had hair in the sink shower had opened conditioner
Apart from the shower and toilet being sperated from the room by a shower curtain. The cleaners snapped my iphone charger whilst cleaning the room, no note left, nothing mentioned to reception.
Very helpfull and friedly !! Pretty girls and ladys !!!
Welcoming, efficient staff who were very willing to help. The on-site bar/ restaurant is a welcome plus, especially considering there isn't much in the local area. Though the room was small it was perfectly comfortable for my needs.
My room was much smaller than the photograph makes it seem. If I'd been travelling as part of a couple it would've been very crowded. Paying an extra five dollars to use the wi-fi seems unnecessary . . . in a lot of places it would be free. Facilities in the communal kitchen are pretty basic.
I remember this hotel when it was the Nurses Home for the local hospital. The place has been revamped and looks great. It's right on Bell St, close to public transport, plenty of eateries on High St Preston & all along Plenty Rd towards the city, the park across the road for nature walks ( I lived in a house on the far corner from the park as a kid) & not far from shops( Northland & Preston market). The single rooms are fine for 1 person; TV, ensuite, fridge - a very cosy room. The pool area is very inviting on a sunny day, the bar prices seem reasonable & the whole place is very professional. I've stayed 3 times now and will again.
You pay for parking, but there's plenty of side street parking that's safe. There appeared to be a few "dodgy" transient looking characters when I was there.
Staff were very helpful but quite busy, good parking for a reasonable price.
The place was a little too busy for my liking, and the set up of the shower over the toilet was not ideal - I narrowly avoided giving myself a shower instead of flushing the toilet a few times.
Plenty to offer in terms of wife, area.restaurant food, gym, and casual entertainment
Thin walls can be a hazard if the other patrons talk loud or have their TV too load..
The out of the way location, it was peaceful.
Air conditioning did not work
problems with wifi
