Burbury Hotel  

I enjoyed the facilities of the suite.

The lighting in the bathroom (vanity area) was not very good for applying makeup.

The Burberry is lovely. Appreciated separate bedroom and the most comfortable bed I have had in hotel.The thick woollen underlay was so sumptious and appreciated doona and woollen blanket. Very cosy. Was also very quiet and darker room made for better sleep.

Only 2 criticisms with design - the shower door doesn't seal so water goes out and there is not enough lighting over the sink mirror which makes seeing to apply makeup really hard. Had to be a mirror the balcony door.

The Burbury is in a great, quiet but central location. The rooms are set out really nicely and the beds are super comfortable.

That you had to pay for parking and we paid $10 each day for Internet ( booked online) and then once there we realised we could have asked for just a $5 deal. And we thought there was an indoor pool available for guests but turned out that you had to pay $15 to access it..very poor And we booked two single beds and got a king size.

Gorgeous two bed apartment shared with my 3 sisters for our trip to the Canberra running festival. Super comfy bed, large lounge, great kitchen.

The proximity of the hotel to start of tha Canberra Half Marathon. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly Comfort and design Peaceful

This is a functional hotel. Everything works. Everything is new. The staff was accommodating.

It's too ultra modern for my taste. Everything was black, brown, or charcoal gray. The hallways to get to the rooms had black walls. Although the door numbers were lit up, I found the darkness slightly threatening. The rooms had no drawers for putting clothing and had dark walls and black furniture. For the ultra modern afficionado, the decor would have been a delight. For me it felt as if I were on the set for a dark existentialist drama. Location was difficult for us as sightseers. We had no car and had to call a taxi to go to the places we wanted to see. The restaurant in the building was pricey and had no a la carte menu. Two out of the five courses were good, the other three were so-so. After two nights we had exhausted the eating opportunities that were within easy walking distance. Although there is another hotel across the road, this is not a city hotel...more like something dropped in the middle of a residential area.

Nice form, hope you don’t mind if I steal it. Particularly like the Google add words selections, whoever your sos is, congrats. Regarding our stay. Enjoyed it. And thank you your reception offered us early checkin. I was wondering what I was to do with our luggage, problem solved.

The location. Didn’t have a car and was unaware that your part of the city is not public transport friendly. However you are within walking distance of everything I needed on my trip so this cancelled out. Which is why I choose your location. Breakfast was a bit ordinary, however your reception offered us a discount upon arrival so that in reality cancelled this out as well.

The modernness of the room. The comfort of the pillows and bed. The seklection for TV and Video.

No bath, Bathroom was a bit smellly on arrival. Staff did not adequately advise about hotel facilities eg Pool

New and trendy hotel close to Manuka area. Comfortable bed.

Uncomfortable living room furniture (small complaint though)

The very quick & efficient check in. The contemporary design & colour especially the vanity & the recessed lights behind the bed & tv panels.

The design could have considered functionality a bit more * an extra 100 ml on either end of the vanity would have prevented toiletries from rolling off without ruining the integrity of the design. * regular maintainence of the LEDs behind the bed & TV panels would have provided adequate light to function in the room - with 3/6 sides of LEDs not working - the room was dim * the over priced breakfast buffet * paying for parking

We found our 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for our needs. The staff were very helpful and we were able to walk to many destinations, restaurants and shopping.

Nothing

The fact that 3 of the 4 restaurants within the realm and Burbury hotels were closed during my stay and the one restaurant / bar that was open has a very dirty worn decor forcing us to drive to find a decent place to eat on a number of occasions. There is not a package for gallery exhibitions for more than 2 people

Nice room

1. Your laocation map was inadequate - took 30 minutes to find it 2. The air con wasn't working properly & we needed staff to reset 3. the TV froze & needed to be reset 4. the alarm system went off on the Sunday evening due to a forgetful resident

Spacious and comfortable rooms. Interesting design. Very good location.

The breakfast was a little lacklustre. In particular, the coffee was very poor - self service machines do not make good expresso coffee.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely.

No room service and no where to get dinner in the nearby vicinity apart from the hotel restaurant.

I really think that a hotel that is advitised as a business stay hotel in teh heart of teh nations capital should have free wifi, I had to pay $15.00 to carry out some work aslo $15.00 to print off my boarding pass to get home. I hav stayed in hotel allaround the world and most hotels provide free wifi. it is a cheap thing to do and a good advitising tool.

Modern style, location in the city

The lighting in the room was too dim. It was difficult to apply make-up, etc. There weren't any decent mirrors in the room. The bathroom lacked privacy.
