Score from 2197 reviews Good
quiet room, reasonably clean, close to central station, George Street, plenty of eating and drinking places. Cheap for the location
hotel is a little tired, lifts are spread out, a bit slow and not easy to find. Floors are a little like rabbit warrens but you get used to it when you know where your room is.
Delicious breakfast in very relaxing atmosphere looking down on a fun parlour. Loved the vast space to look out on as you ate your meal.
Twin room a little small
Quiet and excellent breakfast and staff in the restaurant
Shower head had not much water coming out
Don't know where to start from
Next to capital theatre,convenience
Noise on streets below
had an awesome time. wouldn't go anywhere else. so easy to find.
Great hotel if seeing a show at the Capitol Theatre
Rooms are comfortable but very dated and need upgrading. Ease of access to Sydney locations. Transport good Good choice of restaurants
Very dated décor Front of house staff very "offhand" and don't look at all happy doing their job.
Great location, terrific and friendly service, felt very comfortable.
Would've liked to have been able to open the windows, but that's it.
Location (close to trains, markets, etc) Value for Money Breakfast had a large variety to choose from
Staff members can be a bit testy when ask a question or requesting an extra blanket.
Location, friendly staff, quietness (due to window insulation), cleanliness and good value for money brekky booked in-house
Nothing, all good
Everything about the Capitol, staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was fantastic, breakfast was great. We loved it and going back next year!!
Not much. Breakfast was OK. nothing to write home about.
Wifi was so slow as to be useless. Flat screen Tv did not work.
Very handy to Central Railway Station for connection to airport
Toilet behind door - very inconvenient - particularly for tall; big people
IWe have stayed at the Capitol before and would not hesitate to stay there again. It is close to everything, clean comfortable & reasonable what more can you ask for.
It was close to China Town, Central.
Excellent customer service at Reception. We were worried about excess baggage before our flight. The gentleman at Reception was extremely helpful and was good enough to lend us some scales and good advice about excess baggage. The breakfast was very good, again service great.
Not friendly staff
Location is good for train travellers and those that may be going to a show at the Capital. Good as far as basic accommodation goes.
Basic, very small room not really suitable for 2 people, would be no room to move around, could hear noise thru walls, needed more blankets, remote missing batteries.
Pleasant staff. Nice breakfast.Handy location to Central Station.
Extra pillows would have been good.
Have stayed at the hotel many times
Position of the hotel, having a car park next door made it easier. Close to all attractions, and close to station.
The room wasn't as clean, little bit disappointed about that. The lamp on the side table was dirty and old.
In an excellent CBD location - easy walking distance from Central Station and Chinatown, but with the light rail just around the corner. Great value for a stopover in Sydney. The room was comfortable, and buffet breakfast was good. Not the most upmarket place I have stayed at, and certainly far from the worst. In the price bracket, it was above average. Although it is located in a busy area, I heard no outside noise - more than likely because the room we had was at the back of the hotel - no view, but who cares - it was night with the curtains closed.
Water pressure in the shower left a lot to be desired.
