Score from 92 reviews Very good
it was good for a night for a celebrations
there was no biscuits in the room to have with a cup of tea the price for breakfast is a bit to pricey
The bar at the pool needed more staff as the queue was annoying.
the beach being so close, and the pool area is relaxing.
Bed Lumpy, lighting Poor, serve poor , air con very bad, way out of town ,shower faulty, room next door very noisy early into Sunday morning
No seafood buffet on the Saturday night . That was the reason we chose it. Very disapointed.
Location is great, on a huge beach with a luxurious garden, a big pool and a lovely golf course. it is a pleasure to walk around the structure, surrounded by wild kangaroos and birds
Despite the very good mantainence of garden and pool, rooms and buildings are very old and in poor conditions. They need a deep renovation. It is a pity because the location and the structure is great.
The pool area is amazing! The resort is extremely spacious. Nice location.
No wifi available. Walls are thin so if you have noisy neighbours it can be a bit frustrating.
Room, garden surrounds and swimming pools.
Revolting food at Billabong Restaurant. Mercure seems to think that any swill is good enough for its customers. Maybe they should take lessons from the nearest RSL Club.
Staff are lovely. Beautiful gardens, pool, beach surroundings.
Very dated rooms.
very few people around, nice and quiet. The golf courses were in excellent condition. The grounds are still well maintained
The rooms are not up to standard, the room we had, 5225 in the palms building had filthy drapes covered in stains and mildew. the air conditioner only blew hot air and could not be adjusted. the volume control did not work on the tv remote. This was our 8th visit to this resort since the resort opened, it has been our favourite resort. Money now needs to be spent, to bring it back to it's best. I for one won't be going back until the rooms have been refurbished. they also, no longer have the beach activities, such as catamarans land yachts and blow carts, nor do they have the motor bikes and the off road buggies. This resort is only a shadow of it's former glory.
Pool is nice.
Staff were rude Prices were high Room was old and in desperate need of a renovation. For the price we paid, we couldn't get wifi, and they wanted us to wash all our own dishes, not that we had any, but a huge sign in the room saying "wash dishes or $30 fine incurrs". The place is a dump.
The gardens, activities, space. The environment is absolutely beautiful.
That you have to eat out as the room didn't have a toaster or microwave. Restaurants were very expensive. The rooms were a bit old and tired looking, although comfortable.
everything, we can't wait to go back!! Awesome thank you.
Loved the pooll and if i ever brought my kids there lots of activities for them.
I was expecting a mini bar or more variety in the room.
The kangaroos on entry
Only one restaurant open, it was outside, cold and there were mice. The rooms were built in the seventies and have not been touched since. Sliding doors to balcony not working, no bedside lamps, only a hard wicker chair to sit on. Louvre doors to the bathroom offer no privacy. And the power was cut off between five and six AM with no notice. Very poor experience
The pool was fantastic. There were so many activities on offer. You didn't have to leave the resort because they have everything you need and want.
the relaxing nature, quite ambiance, sport facilities and the big pool
no free wifi
Nice pool area and bars and the restaurant was nice
place is definatly due for a freshen up its starting to show its age, also thought breakfast was overpriced.
The staff were very nice and helpful. The Japanese and Pool Side Restaurants were excellent, as was the Day Spa service. The golf course is beautiful and well-kept.
The rooms have an awful musty smell. The bathrooms have mould - no excuse for that. The airconditioning needs a full upgrade. The screen doors don't stay on their runners and the screens are full of holes, not great when you are in a location which has lots of mozzies and sandflies. The wicker furniture in the 'superior room' was coming apart. The 'doona' was a doona insert between two sheets. The pool area is lovely, but is showing serious signs of age (broken tiles etc). The whole place needs a serious upgrade to match the level of service of the people to work there. I am unlikely to go there again until this happens.
It is a bit dated, but the rooms are extremely comfortable, excellent staff, and great Japanese restaurant, we would go back
The Mecure Village has the most fantastic views. It has a very huge pool which I know my children will enjoy when I do my next booking in November. I've been staying at Mecure Inn in Cairns and Townsvill I'd say Yeppoon Inn is beautiful, huge with pool and lots and lots of fun activities. My Husband & sons loved staying at the Mecure Inn in Yeppoon.
The room was dirty looking, there was mould on the walls and even more on the curtains. The room was freezing cold, I tried to turn up the heat and it didn't work. I went to get dinner and the only restaurant open was an outdoor one, so I had to sit in the freezing cold to eat. Booking.com said the motel was 2.6km or something like that from the town centre, it was more like 10km to 11km from the town. I checked out a day early and when I told staff that I was leaving early as I was not happy with the room they didn't even ask why, just told me that I couldn't get a refund from them I would have to ring booking.com to get my money back. This was one of the worst rooms I have booked with booking.com ever, no very happy.
Hotel facilities are excellent. The pool is huge and the beach is only a short walk. I went to archery and the instructor was very friendly and helpful. The weather was cold but there is a range of free and paid activities to keep you occupied without going in the pool.
The room was dated, cold and a bit dirty. There wee huge convents full of insects that looked like they had been there for a number if weeks. Next time I will stay in Yepoon and use the facilities as a day guest.
Excellent setup with great space and activities on offer.
The bedroom is in need of renovation. Bed rolls along the floor when you attempt to sit back and watch tv. This really lets the resort down.
Billabong breakfast and all you can eat dinner is excellent
The lagoon restaurant is horrible quantity for money. The food is nice, but you dont get much at all. Left still starving. Billabong was not open for dinner except sat night and no whwre else to eat except lagoon or Japanese.
