Central location Hotel supposed to be four stars but didn't live up to it; rubbish sliding door on ensuite, lamp don't work, cracked frosted glass in window, room pretty small.

The staff were efficient and very helpful. The hotel is beautifully furbished. The location is fantastic for inner city business/shopping. I would recommend it to others. The two problems we had with our room were (a) the lighting was poor therefore the room was quite dim (b) the shower cubicle was quite mouldy, most off-putting. Other than that is was good.

The Hotel was situated close to the form up point for the Anzac Day March and in close proximity to the Cenotaph at Martin Place for the attendance of the Dawn Service for Anzac Day. I found the reception staff friendly and very helpful but also professional in appearance. The facilty of storage of my personal luggage after checkout was very helpful and it allowed me to be comfortable that my bag was secured and it allowed me more freedom to look around after the march through Sydney. Well Done!! The view outside my window overlooked St James Church onto Hyde Park, thanks very much also being able to open windows to get fresh air for night was good too. I have already suggested to my Friends that we all stay at the Hotel in 2013 on the night before Anzac Day with partners.

Easy location for me. Security Unaffected by external noise. Not much. A little intimidated by the ceremonial appearance of the facilities.

Double room was small and compact and clean with ensuite bathroom. Very convenient for shopping and both circular quay and darling harbour. Double room not suitable for 2 people as bed was very small.

It would have been convenient to have an ironing board already in the room. Found out after I had had my shower and went to iron. Lol

The calm charm of a 1920's hotel is evident as soon as one enters the discreet entrance off busy Castlereagh St. Staff are professional. Decor of Cello dining room is special and high ceilings throughout, are pleasant. However the adjacent city building construction noise resulted in me taking a quiet room with an opaque window looking onto brick wall, allowing very little light. Depressing if one spent time inside. There is extraneous noise from within the hotel. The adjacent city building construction noise resulted in me taking a quiet room with an opaque window looking onto brick wall, allowing very little light. Depressing if one spent time inside. But a lovely dark room at night. The elevator noise entered bedroom.( I was nearby in #704) Water gurgling in pipes under bathroom from other users in hotel.

Location excellent. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. We didn't like that the restaurant and bar in the hotel was closed during our 4 night stay. We should have been advised that this would be the case before booking. The room was a little dismal and too small and the lighting was very poor but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

We liked the location, it could not have been better placed for sight seeing in Sydney. Staff also were very helpful. That there was only a shower & no bath, also only one hand towel supplied for two people.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - just a short walk to the Sydney Harbor as well as to lots of shopping and dining and public transportation. The room and the bathroom were quite small but still manageable. The construction noise during the day right next door was another minor issue. This wouldn't have been a problem except, after flying in from the U.S., we desperately needed to take a nap which was nearly impossible due to the noise. All was quiet at night, though, so no worries!
