In the very centre of melbourne, convenient yet quiet. it was easy reach from cricket ground, shopping and sights. trams stop outside for getting around Melbourne is quite expensive to stay. in that context ciotm is good value

I was able to get a good last minute rate. I did not realise exactly where it was and could not have been more delighted with the location. Not good lighting in the bathroom

It was lovely and simple. It had everything I needed. The room was very clean and comfortable and the facilities were excellent. The staff were very kind and helpful. The location was fantastic and was situated amongst some wonderful cafes. I would definitely stay there again. No complaints! Though a wider selection of foxtel channels would be nice.

Hotel is in an excellent location for shopping, eating and public transport, staff were friendly and well informed. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and had everything advertised. Towels were big and soft. Decor was neutral. Curtains had good block out qualities. The shower had a tendency to spray water throughout the bathroom and the shower curtain was completely useless in keeping any of it in the shower. The paint and tiles were a little cracked.

It is in a fantastic location The decor is very bland with the predominant colour scheme being grey and white. The breakfast could do with more variety - toast, fruit and cereal doesn't quite cut it.

I found this hotel most convenient and liked the quiet room as I was worried about noise being right in the city. I had stayed at one of their other hotels before and paid less. Overall though this hotel is very good value for the money and I liked theidea of the complimentary newspaper and the bottle of water in the frig I thought the buffet breakfast was a little on the boring side with not enough choice. No rolls, crispbread etc. There was yoghurt but the only fruits were of the melon variety so I just had cereal and toast.

The location was ideal - so central. Able to drop the bags off & head out again. Also, even though it was mid city it was really quiet - so managed to have a decent nights sleep. The room size was a little small (especially when there is a lot of shopping being done). The TV size was really small. A larger TV would be better

Being in the middle of the cbd, the Hotel is centrally located to shops, eateries and good public transport and also tourist destinations such as the Museums, Art Galleries and sporting venues. Easy place to get to when using the air bus shuttle from the Airport too. Good buffet continental breakfast was a bonus also. The room was not overly spacious but it was clean and tidy and that was the main thing. Would recommend the place to others. Second time I have been at this Hotel and would definitely come back. The lift was out of order at one stage for a day .... access would be very difficult for anybody with a walking disability as there was only the stairs to use to get access from the ground floor to the second floor and then there is another lift that services the higher floors (this lift was working).

Location only, nothing else, terrible hotel Management was in our faces about some consensus form we could have cared less about, we were on vacation, let it go! Rude! The bathroom smelled like bo, lower elevator kept breaking down, room service was minimal, got athletes foot from the shower, and they also booked our time wrong for our shuttle almost causing us to miss our connecting flight to Brisbane. This place needs some real help and I am not a picky person, very laid back, but wow what a sad place that needs to upgrade and be better at everything.

Helpful staff, clean room but somewhat small. Breakfast included fruit, cereal, yoghurt, juice and toast - good, but the same everyday. Central location was great - at the Bourke St. mall and the laneways. Found good restaurants nearby within easy walk. Used the free laundry facilities. Would have liked some variety in the breakfast.

My stay was a happy one. Cocooned in a lively alleyway off the Mall, the location is excellent, no matter what direction you're heading to. My room with an ensuite although small was very pleasant. The bed was very, very comfortable and it was quiet at night - no traffic noise! I recommend it and will be staying there again myself.

It is a great convenient hotel because of its location. It has everything you need unless you want luxury. This is my 3rd stay and I loved the room I was in this time. I normally stay on my own would be small if you are a couple.

Love the location, rooms clean, breakfast being supplied is great to have. 24 hr service, always someone at the front desk when arriving back after the day out. The price being more expensive this year, lifts a bit slow and old.

“Fairfax was very close to the city centre. We walked everywhere and its a short distance from the connecting Airport Buses. It reminded me of a New York loft - with the beautiful bay windows. I would defintely stay here again. ” Elle, Brisbane |
