Causeway Inn On The Mall

When I booked I requested a smoking room which is the only reason I booked it and I didn't get a smoking and was only moved after alot of aggravation

The location was very good.The bed was comfortable. The room was quite clean and had a reasonable view of the bourke street mall.

The room was very small. The breakfast was very ordinary. The staff forgot to check that basic supplies were maintained E.G. shampoo and conditioner , sugar etc. The shower tap handle kept falling off whilst showering. Attention to detail was poor. It could be a great place to stay if this was a prioroty.

Location - close to trams, market, restaurants, shopping and football stadium. Rooms were clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. Breakfast was quick, easy and satisfying.

We have stayed at 2 of Causeways Hotels in M/B before and had no problems whatsoever. Its position is ideal.

We have written to the Manager as the service and room have both gone downhill and we cannot currently recommend this hotel to anyone, for the time being.

I have stayed here before... it is about the location and convenience to all things central that saw me choose to stay again.

The Causeway Inn is centrally located, excellent for shopping and business. The rooms are very basic, so don't expect any bells and whistles. Breakfast is extremely unexciting but at least its a meal. Would probably stay there for business only, where a clean room is all that is required.

The rooms needs updating and are small but at least clean. Breakfast is dull and bland.

Staff were friendly location great for seeing the city

we travelled from Perth and were told we could check in early but when we arrived advised we couldnt and the staff member didnt even check before advising. we are both non smokers and we were put on a smoking floor without permission to which when we asked about this nothing was done.

Room size

Rooms too small. I usually travel with my husband but on this occasion was travelling alone so found room size and fixtures just adequate for solo traveller. Rooms need to accomodate two chairs, provide wine glasses and a little more leg room. The complimentary breakfast was adequate with variety of cereal, fruit, fruit juice, types of bread for toast and condiments.

Very close to where I was working.

I was extremely pleased with the location . I have recommended the Causeway to my family who are planning a trip about June/July.
