needs a revamp
For us, location is the first point when chosen a hotel. The second is price X comfort. So, this hotel is perfect for us.
The breakfast is too expensive.
The room itself was great :)
Lobby and entrance felt a bit drab, bathroom in need of a makeover.
It was great to arrive early on the day to be able to check into our room. Very comfortable, great location. Will be staying next time we travel.
The room was very clean and there were chocolates and apples in the room on arrival. The staff were friendly. The continental breakfast was delicious with a variety of foods to choose from. It was very centrally located.
The pillows were uncomfortable.
Excellent location and clean, comfortable room.
Daily service to room; king bed; pristine bedding; extended check in/out; mini bar selection; fitness room; roof terrace; bathrobe and slippers; perfect location; friendly staff; breakfast service
Absence of toilet brush while noticing toilet was not cleaned every day; curtain hangings were messy (broken?) This took away from the "executive" feel of the room; main entrance had "backdoor" feel, is not clearly marked on eye level and is not at the actual address; quite some fitness equipment was out of order which was particularly annoying when more people made use of the facility. I found the opening hours of fitness room very limited, I would expect access from 6am to 11pm.
The breakfast was not up to my liking.
CLEAN ROOM, GREAT LOCATION, BREAKFAST PROVIDED, STAFF FREINDLY
ROOMS A BIT TIRED, NEEDS A BIT OF A FACELIFT, NO PARKING A PROBLEM FOR UNLOADING SUITCASES
The location was Central to Most of the sights In the city.
The street was blocked off in front of the hotel so if you had a car you had to pay for parkingwhile you registered at the hotel and then you had to Move your car To the hotels paid lot. It was a bit inconvenient.
small entrance in a laneway
the bathroom needs a Reno. The shower was shocking couldn't regulate it at all.
Having breakfast included , beds very comfortable, location, location, location! Would definately stay there again.
Hotel could do with a a coat of paint a little worn.
location was great.liked the touch of complimentary chocolates and fruit. Also free bottled waiter. The room was very comfortable and quiet given the location.
Woodwork could do with a coat of paint and the comfy chair was faded giving the impression of needing some TLC. Generally couldn't fault the hotel.
Spacious room. Location was excellent.
Room too stuffy. Didn't have access to cooling system manually. Gym needs cooling system or the ability to open the door provided. Spa didn't work for one of the nights we were there but was fixed the next day.
Very central for shopping, eateries etc.
Noisy room. Curtains were broken and would not close so room was too light. Iron was scorched black and unusable. Even when I asked staff nothing was fixed. Bathrobes very old and looked scratchy. No one would actually wear them.
The hotel causeway was located one street away from the bourke street mall! The room was standard and the bed was comfy.
I think the complimentary breakfast should have a bit more of a variety. Ended up going to causeway on the inn first and then walking to the correct hotel. Another couple had done the same thing so ensure you have the correct name as there are three causeway hotels.
Not the best but definitely not the worst hotel I have stayed in. Adequate "value" hotel for a large city. I would definitely stay again as it is centrally located for everything.
Some of the staff were a little unsure of themselves, but I thing that this was because they were trainees, I can forgive this as we all had to begin somewhere.
A boutique style hotel with the best of everything on a smaller scale. Step out the front door into the heart of bustling vibrant Melbourne shops and cafe world. Excellent staff and service. My choice for each stay in Melbourne
I didn't like that room 521 was so close to the elevator I could hear it all night
one snorting receptionist
Location was great. Right in the heart of the city. Comfortable room.
Shower over the bath was very grotty. Black stains all around the bath top. Very unsightly.
Comfortable stay for good price
Comfortable bed Quiet
Very compact room Strange odour in lobby
Condescending staff Overpriced breakfast The manhole cover crashing down in the bathroom The restaurant stuffed up a room service order for "dinner" When asked to post an Express Post envelope, held on to it for a week and only send it when I rang to complain it hadn't gotten to its recipient Couldn't advise how long it would take to get to the airport When I wrote to the Manager to complain, I didn't even get a reply email.
