Central Railway Hotel and Apartments

The front desk lady is very helpful. As we stayed at the hotel during the beginning and ending days of our entire holiday trips (the other days we were on the road out of Sydney), we were able to store some of our luggage for retrieval at the later date. During our subsequent check in, we were 2 hours earlier than the stipulated check in time. To allow us to continue our sightseeing in Sydney, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel while the room is being readied. When we returned to the hotel room past 9pm that day, we were presently surprised to see all our luggage transferred to the nicely prepared room. This value- adding service would be welcome by any travellers alike. Thumbs up.

Location good, price good. Great having kitchenette facilities. Very reasonable cost for parking underneath hotel.

All good. Could maybe do with a bit of maintenance in bathroom.

Closeness to the city. Had a kitchen. Comfortable beds. Reasonably quiet. Close to public transport. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We were told we could have a ground floor room as we were travelling wth a friend who'd had recent heart surgery but when we arrived none was available. In fairness to them they had tried to contact me but we were already travelling. They did take our bags up to our room.

Central to everything and easily accessible, clean and accommodating and easy to book on line.

It is a brilliant location and the room was clean. The staff were very helpful and we asked for a late check in and they obliged.

The rooms need a bit renovation and in the first room (we stayed twice within 3 weeks) there were no beside lamps for the main bed which was a problem as we could not read while the kids sleep. In the second there was a lamp but only one of the lamps works and the holder was broken.

Both my son and myself were very happy with the staff and accommodation.We stayed here as it was close to the Hordern Pavilion.It was very comfy and would recommend it to anyone.Should I have the need to go to Sydney again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Price was reasonable. Location was good

Central Railway Hotel is a clean and tidy budget hotel within easy walking distance of the central business center and free shuttle is near by to main attractions.Recommended to those who don't need a pool and the extra luxury of out door areas. Plenty of parks near by and new swimming complex under construction further down the street. Overall a great location.

Building is a little run down with large cracks in the brickwork. After being through earthquakes in Christchurch NZ. it makes you a bit wary of the integrity of the building, but then Sydney in general has many old buildings that look like they would not stand even a small earthquake.

Location. We could walk to the harbour, opera house, hyde park and to the malls easily from the hotel. Buses and Taxis came straight past the hotel regularly.Just a stroll from the train too!

Room was old and tired but that was acceptable for the short two night stay and the location. It was clean enough.

Reasonably accessible location.

Standard of rooms rather shabby. Flyscreens broken mosquitoes in room. Shower taps fell off. Non-disabled accessible. Staff not overly friendly.

This hotel's staff was AMAZING!!! Indre was the one I dealt with most and she was VERY helpful! I had originally planned on my parents joining me on this trip, but they were unable to make it with very little notice. The hotel was very understanding and helped me through the process of cancelling some of the nights since my parents couldn't make it! Thank you all!

The only complaints I had would be that my shower door was broken and when I arrived it was in my living room area? Strange! Also, it was a bit of a walk out of the city and being by myself I was uncomfortable when I had to walk back at night.
