“ Location is great! The dorm room is very clean and nice. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Kitchen is quite cloudy when dining time however the view from the balcony is excellent which is exactly face to Brisbane River! We had a good time when we stayed over there! :) ”

The staff were very accommodating, and the location was fantastic. In a way, this hostel was a little too chill. There wasn't much socializing going on, so we ended up spending most of our time at City Backpackers (which is owned by the same people and where we have since moved). We were also under the impression that our would have air con. This was our first time staying in a hostel, and we were totally unprepared for the unisex bathrooms with showers and toilets in the same room. Not really a ding against the hostel, but the bank they use had a glitch in their system and ended up double charging my credit card for the room. It was worked out promptly, but prior to that the fill-in manager on duty seemed very put out when I asked for a contact at the bank.

The tv room, bed were comfortable, amazing roof terrace, easy to find when you come from the bus station They really don't pay attention to people who are drinking, so may make hell of a mess, and on my last night, a drunk guy came in the room and pee on someone else bed, and the night receptionist was very slow, he didn't even proposed to the guy to change room, or the drunk to leave, he just left him in the room saying that he was too drunk to do anything, we had to make sleep somewhere else ourselves

Location, facilities, view from the hostel, very clean. The fact that you required full sized luggage to check in-I only had a backpack. Thankfully, they were nice enough to let me stay, but it was really inconvenient.

Nothing From day one the staff were unhelpful and a pain to deal with. Charged us a full rate when one of our group had to sleep on the floor. Kitchen was dirty and very dated. Rooms were small, no ac or windows. Mixed sex bathrooms. Key cards didn't work properly. The car park was the biggest joke. Reception demand that keys are left at reception so they can move cars if the need arises. We requested that they ask us to move the car before moving it themselves. They ignored this and crashed the car into a pillar completely wrecking the fiberglass roof. Not only this but the next day the manager spoke to us and offered no apology nor compensation and basically said that they would not cover any of the costs what so ever or take any responsibility for the damages. She was extremely rude, unhelpful and abrupt. We informed the police and they mentioned this happened before, but they could not do anything as we handed in the keys. We would definitely not recommend this place to anyone, ever. This has ruined the rest of our trip as we will have to cover the costs to repair the hire car.

This place is terrible! Do not stay here Too many beds in the room for the size. You have to make your own bed! Never have I had to do that in 4 months of travelling. All staff seem to work for accommodation so standards are ropey at best. You really shouldn't stay here. Kitchen is far too small for the size of the hostel. I really don't know how they dare charge the prices they do. This hostel was Utter ****! With my hand on my heart, do not stay here!

Good location at walking distance of main station and city centre, nice rooftop with good view, nice atmosphere, clean and 30 minutes of free internet upon checking in Had to wait about 10 minutes for my early check out as the night manager was apparently asleep somewhere... A bit stressful as I had a bus to catch.

Location re rail, southbank, and city. View from deck. New and clean. Young staff did a good job. Reception open for late arrival (due to cancelation of flight). TV, eating areas. Ease of use of key card. Metal shelves in room.

Nice hostel, the room was confortable. The kitchen is big and clean. Very close to the city and the train station. The atmosphere was not very friendly but I think it's because it's a big hostel. The wifi is expensive 10 $ for 1 day... There is no fork, no knive, no mug, and no plate in the kitchen, you have to borrow (and pay for that..) it at the reception :(

Chill was an extremely clean hostel, the bathroom facilites and rooms were well looked after. The reception staff were at times a bit slow and not that well informed on local info but they were always friendly and tried their best to help out.
