Citigate Melbourne  

It was very central and reasonably priced. The rooms were extremely large for a city centre location.

I liked most the proximity to all my favourite places, Centre Place, De Graves St, Southbank. Having to travel via V/Line from Southern Cross Station was not too far from the hotel either. Also the cost was attractive and the room set-up.

The reception staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and location was good, room was large

The room was large with plenty of room but the bed was 2 singles pushed together with only 1 bedside table an no room to walk round the other side of the bed as it was against the window. Housekeeping was poor the floors weren't vacuumed properly, sheets weren't changed in 4 days, and coffee/tea/soap etc weren't always refilled. The bathroom in our room catered for handicaps with no hob around the shower which meant that the bathroom floor flooded everytime you showered. Extremely noisey on Saturday night from the pub a couple of doors down and the laneway behind had deliveries all through the night, very noisey

I was very impressed with the staff, all very polite and willing to help when required

Good location, very central, not too noisy, good value, spacious room, good Internet, friendly staff, coffee and tea facilities, comfortable bed.

Upon entering the room there was a musty smell. The room seemed kind of dusty. Internet cable not long enough.

The location is perfect and the staff are very good. You cannot fault this hotel for its size and luxury. The food is good.

The hotel room is not very clean ...

Very central - able to walk to sporting facilities. Surrounded by good eating places from those providing quick breakfast /lunch to more upmarket. All with excellent service. The hotel room was spacious, service good and reasonably priced.

The hotel is perfectly located for shopping and sightseeing in the city. Located opposite Flinders St Station and with trams just outside the door it was convenient to either walk to the mcg and Rod Laver Arena (15 minutes) or catch a tram. The room was very clean and well presented and all the staff were very friendly. We also enjoyed the breakfast.

The closeness to public transportation was phenomenal. The close proximity to excellent and quaint eating establishments was superb. The shopping within just a short walk was great. Federation Square, just down the street, was most enjoyable at Christmas. Close proximity to the mcg was awesome. Close proximity viz tram to the Crown Entertainment Center was cool. The Citigate Melbourne---location, location, location!!!

Being stranded in the elevator for a short time was not that bad.

Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our holiday a very enjoyable one. . Rooms were very comfortable. Would definitely return to Citigate if visiting Melbourne again. Great holiday.
