its cheap, its clean. Fair enough. Staff is friendly, they helped us about everything we asked for.
Convenient location for meetings in the city and reasonable price. I liked the rooftop facilities.
No a fan of shared bathrooms but these were clean and not too busy. No aircon in the room just a fan, so could be uncomfortable on hot days.

Less staff Over all nice...
Location was very good, staff very friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Room was very basic but ok.
Rooms aren't isolated well, we heard our neighbors while they were just talking.
location, clean and nice rooms
the great location
Location is good. All the facilities are convenient. Clean...
Stairwell to the laundry/kitchen is quite dirty
Location, amenities, cleanliness, free PCs and printers, WiFi
Proximity to city. Free computer use. Fridge in room. Eating area on roof top.
Noisy patrons in other rooms.
Room was clean and bed was really comfi. Plenty bathroom facilities. Within city centre thus within walking distance of major attractions.
Kitchen is on the rooftop (ok) but a bit worn down. tv didn't work. room was a bit small, but what do you really need...
The location is good
Very noisy, could hear the bars near by dumping drink bottles into the skip from midnight until early morning. We could hear the guest next door making sick noise in the bathroom The heater and the fan is very old The mugs are dirty
Price, location and cleanliness.
Room overheated. Left window open but then street noise, including overnight rubbish (bottles?) disposal, even louder, resulting in broken sleep. However, still good value and would stay again.
wifi access was good
Bathroom cleanliness bordering on disgraceful. Cleaned once a day yet used throughout day and night by numerous travellers.
Great staff and wonderful stay
Bathroom and shower together
Everything is great! Highly recommended~~
Excellent location Very accessible Helpful staff
No elevator No one in the reception after 9pm
Great location, easy access to trams, trains and buses. Clean rooms, comfortable bed.
A tray to place the cups and tea etc, rather than leaving them on the bar fridge. A welcome bottle of water might be better than the tea.
Excellent location. Very helpful staff. Clean room.
Close to transport, food, entertainment. Easy to get to from airport. Room was clean and comfortable. WiFi available. Staff were helpful and efficient.
Shared bathroom and toilet facilities.
I tried out several backpackers hotels in Melbourne but this one was definitely the best one. Very nice people at the front desk that will help you with anything, great location right in the center, great rooms, very clean bathrooms and great free wifi connection.
thin walls so you can hear what's happening in the other rooms, then it's a matter of luck with the neighbors.
Loved that it was so close to Parliament building. I would usually walk back to my hotel room around sun-down and I got to sit on Parliament steps to catch the last few rays and then head back to my room which was only a 2 minute walk from Parliament. And I loved how cosy and clean the rooms were. Loved my white cosy duvet. And having a mini fridge was great to keep my breakfast items like fruit and yogurt. Was also nice to have a kettle to make cups of tea.
The bathrooms seemed to always have a bad smell. But they were cleaned daily.
Good location on the edge of Melbourne city, I had a relatively quiet room (as requested) despite the loud street below me, so was happy with that. Room had everything necessary for a night's stay (kettle, tv) but nothing more than the bare minimum. Good when you just need a base to sleep in.
Couldn't get the wifi to work late at night (probably would have been fine if I could've gone to reception for help)
It got us out of trouble when we couldn't find anything else affordable on a Saturday afternoon. Location was quite good.
Building/rooms etc could use some updating. The pub being just outside our room made sleeping on a Saturday night/morning quite difficult as the room is clearly not so well insulated. Beds/sheeting were not particularly comfortable nor clean.
