It's located near railway line and trams. It's got an undercover car park. The room was clean. The water pressure was good. The staff was friendly. It's not located in "Abbotsford, Carlton", as claimed in the listing on booking.com. There is no such place as "Abbortsford, Carlton". These are two suburbs which are about 4kms from each other. The motel is in Abbotsford, which is much further from the cbd. Also there were a lot of guests making noise early in the morning in the corridor and the top floor. Also, there is no window to outside. The "free breakfast" was a joke. Most motels have complimentary coffee, tea and milk. Here they also had four slices of white bread, some "fruit drink", jam, vegemite, and some small packets of cereal. The carpet on the floor has marks of someone putting out cigarettes on it.

Clean room although a little tired looking. Needs a little TLC. Value for money with ceal and toast for breakfast. Lots of restaurants a short walk to Victoria street. Would like to have Bar soap in room.

The room was clean. Basic facilities. The man in the office did not offer to help us carry our bags up 3 flights of stairs, he just stood and watched. The room was quite expensive for what it was and it's location. Not the greatest hotel ever.

The light through curtains was a bit of nuisance and only got cereal and milk for first night no toast. Having said that pleasantly surprised by comfort and cleanliness of room and would come back again but bring pegs to keep curtain closed

Good position, near cafes & venues. The free continental breakfast was bonus. Parking a bonus The beds were lousy, pillows poor & only 1 pillow each, bathroom quite grubby. Room very, very small.

The location to the east corner, close to the city The only complaint was the lack of cleanliness especially the courtyard and stairs to the carpark

The location is excellent. Close to North Richmond Rail station and the Victoria st Tram. There are many restuarants on Victoria Street, and the pub next door has good food too. The motel has undercover parking, but with public transport so close, why bother The bed was amazingly firm and the pillows were thin and unsupportive. Not the best sleeping conditions that we have expereinced. It would be nice to have windows that open, That would mean that they would allow in fresh air and save the business on air-conditioning

Quiet, clean and hospitable. Should have a lift so that one does not have to carry heavy luggage up the stairs.

Close to City and Richmond. Price, Clean. Free parking. The stale terrible smell as you approach the 1st floor and reception. The tap was not attached to the wash basin in the room, making me worried that i may twist the pipe and cause water spout. The bodgy corrugated conduit from upstairs room into the shower. But room was comfortable and priced ok.

This is the third stay I have had at City East. On each occasion I have participated in the Bicycle Victoria 210km "Around the Bay in a Day" held in October. I will certainly book in at City East again next Oct. I am PARTICULARLY GRATEFUL that the staff allowed me to park my car at City East, and pick it up at the end of my ride at 6 pm. That was extremely helpful Many thanks .......... Geoff

provided free car parking. Need some basic renovations done, splash of paint goes a long way to attracting new clients. The free breaky was half heartly put together, this was the reason i chose this place was because of the breakfast.

easy access to transport (Tram, Train and Bus). Simple but comfortable accomodation. WiFi was pay-per-day, and slow breakfast could be a bit more than raspberry and apple juice, special K and bread for toast.
