Score from 228 reviews Very good
quiet location comfortable bed
bed linen worn and old room needed a freshen-up
excellent location loved Victoria st quiet and comfy beds
awful coffee ...that's all
I liked the location - close to my destination. It was quiet and reasonably comfortable. The WIFI connection was not bad - the cost for that was $10.00 per night. It was easy to get to apart from Punt Road traffic.
Not being in contact with the outside, no external windows. I didn't even try to use the television or the aircon or even the radio but there were there if you wanted them.
No windows in bathroom and bedroom window looked onto an enclosed walkway - couldn't be opened. Fire alarm looked like it had been disconnected - no battery. Room reeked of cigarettes. Floors were filthy and feet black after walking around barefoot. Definitely do not recommend. Wifi did not work.
I had a room with external window, not sure if I would have enjoyed a room with an internal window as much. Change of towels and breakfast trays were very good service
had pre booked and managed to check in when staff there, however would be unsure how to do this when no one is available. Maybe information sheet at check in desk would be helpful
Good strong hot shower and comfortable bed.
Very heavy footed movement directly above bed sporadically from 11pm till 1am when trying to sleep.
Good location, near train station Relatively cheap Clean room Easy check in/out
Noisy A lot of light gets into room from brightly lit foyer outside Bed was large but not particularly comfortable
Not too expensive, close to a tram stop.
Not too clean & rather noisy.
The motel was a reasonable walk into Melbourne city centre and within easy reach of restaurants. Also there was parking on site. The staff were helpful.
The room was on the small side and the decoration/furnishings were very 'tired' looking and could do with updating. Cleaning could be improved.
Location was perfect for my needs, close to trams and walking distance to Victoria Street and also an easy walk to Royal Exhibition Building.Free car parking below building an added bonus as my car was secure and off the street.
Stairwells and foyer area a bit grubby and needs a make-over.
The cleanness. Value for money.
The bright lights on all night outside the window.
Location, friendlyness and cleanliness
People up top where a bit noisy but then you can't control what they do
the area in general is not very inviting, so would not return. breakfast was very basic and minimal. room old and in need of repair and update
Close to public transport n excellent meals in pub next door
price. Got everything you need. victoria st nearby for Vietnamese food. Location is great for price.
downstairs rooms have a lot of noise from upstairs.
Economical hotel, includes continental brekky and parking in tarrif.
Tiles in central passage made the 4am exit of person with a wheeled suitcase very noisy!
Under cover parking
Stuffy room. No air flow.
The beds were fantastic, huge and comfortable. Rooms were spacious and location was really good as very close to the city centre.
comfortable and clean room good location quiet room, but near transport to city
No free wifi unwelcoming exterior
very noisey, you can hear everything and light comes into the room even with curtains drawn.
I slept badly because of the cold and the noise. I had to turn off the air conditioner because of the noise it made.
-VERY comfortable king bed -no road noise - friendly staff - continental breaky included - walked into Melb city - undercover parking
- no face washers - just 1 towel - not very inviting from ground floor entrance
Great Location, Included Continental Breakfast, Large Shower, Private Car Parking, Easy Check-In.
Noisy Hotel Guests at Midnight due to stairs and common breezeway area.
