Quality linen, Tram right outside, Secure facilities, Was big enough for two. Had everything you needed for a long or short stay.
Could of had better window covering to block out light.
tram outside door, short walk to the markets, a few nice cafes not too far away that does breakfast, was quiet, the discount cards to various places
no grocery store close by for supplies esp cold stuff. wish i had known that trams need a MYKI card with credit on it (was lucky tram driver let me ride for free) - suggestion - offer a complimentary myki card with some credit on it, enough to get them into town and charge it up with extra credits. not enough information to find cafes/restaurants close by without resorting to google
Location and facilities of the apartment
Value for money Location
Paid car parking was 500 meters from motel. My missuss travels heavy.
Quiet, well furnished excellent facilities, very clean and found the Staff to be courteous, and friendly at all times.
There is nothing I can complain about the City Edge North Apartments and I will certainly stay there again and recommend same to other people.
location was convenient
no blinds or drapes on windows, no electric blanket, carpark access with swipe card difficult to access or know where to swipe, other people also had difficulty
Carpet is very old with holes in them. The bed wasn't comfortable as though it was missing a lot of springs. The blanket was old.
My adult children arrived at 12.30am. Easy access
Only a few blocks from city so it's good if you don't mind walking.
Carpet had rips in it. No face washers. For a cheap hotel it's about what I expected. Thin blankets, cold even with additional blankets that were in the room. Had to use heater over night. Door auto closes so with bags and a pram it was difficult to enter and leave. Not a fan of using a key. The lock is like a house door so if you don't remember to lock it as you leave it stays unlocked. (Most hotels have better systems these days)
Very Clean apartment, friendly staff at reception, quiet location.
cooking area in room; location to public transport and QVM; friendly and very helpful staff at reception;
room for two people including toilet/shower too small when traveling with two big luggage; package offered for breakfast; thin room walls;
cleaning was only once a week.
Very cramped. Kitchen bench about a foot from the end of the bed. Grim outlook onto blank walls. All in all a pretty miserable vibe.
Extra charges to check in a little early, we book a lot of accommodation for our drivers, so we won't be using this venue again. Charges for late check out I can understand, but not check in.
Staff were very helpful with all my requests, from the location of a supermarket to providing clothes hangers. The room was not large but it was very clean and fresh. The shower was a bit small but powerful! The location is great. The hotel is a short walk - no more than 20 minutes - from all of Central Melbourne. Given the location the value for money was excellent, despite the couple of drawbacks mentioned below, and I would stay here again.
The room has two drawbacks: 1. There is NO hanging space at all, not even a coat hook, hence my request for hangers, which the staff gladly helped me with. There is plenty of shelf space. The staff assured me that there are plans to rectify this issue but, until then, this property is definitely a short-stay option. I stayed for three days, which I would think is the limit. 2. There is NO shelf or vanity in the bathroom for toiletries. I don't need much space for a bit of shaving kit and a toothbrush, but I had to leave my gear in the wash bag and leave that on the toilet cistern. If, forewarned, you can deal with these two issues, then this property is a good value choice.
Its proximity to public transport, cleanliness of the room, facilities to provide your own meal, really comfortable bed. The ability to access your room after the front desk has closed through the key being left in the security box. The overall security of the building.
Lack of wheelchair access to the front door of the motel. How does one access this hotel when in a wheelchair?
First hotel asked me for $500 bond :(
room had everything i needed, plus cooking facilities, great value and staff were very helpful. I felt really comfortable here.
room small and basic, no room service
The room was reasonably clean. It was quiet.
Too small. When I made my booking I was informed there was a $150 credit card pre - auth. When I arrived I was told it was $200. I think I should have been notified of any changes prior to my arrival. When asking for information the reception staff had very poor knowledge of the local area. The room was ridiculously small for two people.
Great location to Queen Victoria Markets. Great that tram was so close. Just unsure of what tram to catch in and out of the city. May need more info for interstate users.
The only thing I didn't like was that the staff were not aware of the locations of shops to get Myki cards or where banks were or routes of trams.
It was close to where I needed to be
The room smelt awful, airfreshener over cigarettes. The blind only covered half the window. It was noisy both from other residents returning at all hours and the traffic noise from outside. There is nowhere to hang clothes. The bed was sunken in the middle, lumpy pillows, lack of hot water, went cold half way through my shower. It was probably the worst place I have ever stayed and at $100 is the not cheapest. I would have got a better nights sleep in the hostel across the road. Truly awful
Most staff went out of their way to help us any way they could.
The fire alarm went off while we were staying there and one particular staff member was poor with communication. Guests did not know where to evacuate and when it was safe to come back in side
the apartments are completely misrepresented - it is backpacker style dorm accommodation, details of which are omitted both on the website and when booking over the phone, will be attempting a refund!
Location, hot plates and kitchen facilities mini balcony
Staff did not fulfill my request to fix rangehood
Very helpful reception staff, specially the manager. Changed my room when I asked. Very kindly collected and stored my carry on baggage.
The rooms facing Peel St. Noisy.
