The location on Peel Street suited us well.
The room was very small and the twin bed arrangement and location of the TV can only be described as dreadful. The bathroom had no place for our toiletries. I do not consider this accommodation as value for money and we would never consider staying at your hotel/apartments again nor recommend it to any of our friends..
Unfortunately such a poor experience that even the 'good' things don't look good any more. If only things had been dealt with when they went wrong.
We're in the same business and things can go wrong, but it how its' dealt with that really counts...and that was hopeless and uncaring here. Getting a dirty room, than being left to carry own luggage to new room, no offer of assistance. New room still not very clean at all. False advertising re kitchen facilities, couldn't cook what I'd brought with me for a 5 day stay. Parking station mis-information...and a manager who never responded to requests to follow up. Sorry, this place needs a shake up...it could be great, there are far better alternatives for price and location.
The location is very handy to the Melbourne Markets. Quiet street.
No shelf room in bathroom.
Male receptionists are very helpful and smily
Found both female receptionist very rough, not very helpful Particularly the Indian skinned receptionist was very unhelpful. She never smiles with clients. I moved from Adelaide early morning, few hours before check in time. I wanted help from them. The aussie receptionist was in the desk and it was 8:30 am. She answered in a rough manner that she cant help before 9, however, my business appointment was at 8:am. During check out i asked the indian receptionist to give me a receipt which she said would send me via email but she did not do it.
The shower was good. Location was good for the tram if required.
The room was ridiculously small. We had to move the table so we didn't walk into it going to the toilet in the middle of the night. The offsite parking was a total hassle. The reception hours were inappropriate.Won't stay there again.
It was close to a tram stop and close to shopping and the Royal Children's Hospital.
- The beds were like lying on a small plank. - The bathroom was so tiny I had to back onto the toilet. - The shower cubical was so small I had to go sideways to get into it. - The room so small I struggled to get around the bed and could not use the kitchen properly. - There was alot of spiders on our last night that I spent half of it killing them. - The sliding glass door only had half a blind so that i had to use blankets to shut out the permanent outdoor light so as to get some sleep.
It was close to where I needed to go, and reasonable walking distance to cafes in Errol St
The location to the city and market is excellent.
Staff were not interested in telling you about local attractions or travel options for the city - The bed was very uncomfortable and the cleanliness was not of a high standard, especially the bathroom.
This was a great location.
Travel light as there is no where to put your suitcase. The kitchen is extremely basic with no draining board at all. The bathroom is cramped with no space to leave your toiletries but no where to put them in the main room either. You share the space on the toilet with the ironing board which was a bit odd. It does the job but was the smallest and most basically appointed self contained accommodation that we found around Victoria but I guess in Melbourne space is at a premium and it was very reasonably priced.
Convenient to town. Room small but had everything I required. Like the balcony as well - makes it feel bigger. Clean and comfortable.
Unable to access WiFi.
Proximity to Tram 19 in both directions useful and close to the city. Close to the Victoria Markets. Shower temperature and pressure - great ! But.... ( see my comments ). A very practical, compact little apartment - the kitchen had everything you needed - and more , for a short stay.
1. The shower cubicle is a bit squeezy for a big man . 2 Bring your own soap or wash gel - so you don't drop it and make sure it does not fall through the soap holder
Good value for money and easy tram ride to the city.
Conveinent Position to the hospitals.you had a choice of walking or catching a tram.
friendly staff close to all trams and most of all good price
Location was good, right next to trams and Victoria market. kitchen facilities was great.
We booked for eight nights as per internet booking- you would get room serviced for bookings seven nights or more. on discovery there was only one day of room service which was disappointing. Reusing shower towels for three days before it was replaced by clean ones was not what we expected and was bitterly disappointing as specifically booked for the room services. Also reception not being able to exchange coins for the laundry service was very annoying.
Location very close to Melbourne CBD
The rooms and bathrooms are too small.
I like the accessibility to the city. The facilities in general were good for what I paid.
I thought the presentation could've been better. The walls were dirty and the toilet was stained. The toilet scrubber was wrapped in wet toilet paper. Toilet facilities is important and I thought this was a real downer.
Cleaness, easy and near to hospitals. That help alot to peoples who require to attend hospital.
They has no plan for medical discount rate for patient and immediate relatives who require attending to hospitals. Discount is only for Doctors! ! Reception told me.
Way too small and filthy carpet. Nowhere to put cases etc.
Receptionist was lovely
Dirty walls carpet and rubbish left under bed no one came to clean the room the hole time I was there, had to evacuate the hotel at night in the cold with little on, no staff came to see if I was out and didn't come to let us know it was safe to enter again... :/
Quality linen, Tram right outside, Secure facilities, Was big enough for two. Had everything you needed for a long or short stay.
Could of had better window covering to block out light.
tram outside door, short walk to the markets, a few nice cafes not too far away that does breakfast, was quiet, the discount cards to various places
no grocery store close by for supplies esp cold stuff. wish i had known that trams need a MYKI card with credit on it (was lucky tram driver let me ride for free) - suggestion - offer a complimentary myki card with some credit on it, enough to get them into town and charge it up with extra credits. not enough information to find cafes/restaurants close by without resorting to google

Paid car parking was 500 meters from motel. My missuss travels heavy.
Quiet, well furnished excellent facilities, very clean and found the Staff to be courteous, and friendly at all times.
There is nothing I can complain about the City Edge North Apartments and I will certainly stay there again and recommend same to other people.
