City Lodge Hotel

I liked that it was central and bathroom was clean, bed was neat.

Too noisy and air conditioning is shared. I stayed 2 nights and each night I had to beg that they put the a/c on and always the answer was that it is a shared a/c unit but I suspect it was about saving costs!

excellent location for my meetings

no sound proofing to the outside world, woken up many times during the early morning with train and road noises

It has an exclent location.

You have to carry your bags trought the stairs 3 floors.

i paid the shuttle bus service for my departure from Sydney through this hotel but the bus did not arrive. 16$AUS is not to get back that there was no body in the reception, they close by 10PM and never show up earlier morning. so bit exhausted...

Noise of road building directly beneath window - all night = not one minute of sleep !!!!! Narrow stairs, no lift Not worth the tarriff even without the noise factor

Very good location. Walking distance to everywhere. Travel to airport is easier than taxi. Clean.

Room is small. Facilities only meet budget hotel level but price is not cheap.

Staff service was excellent. They went beyond expectations. The hotel location was ideal for walking around Sydney and getting the train to the airport.

City workers were jackhammering on the street out front and worked until 4:30 am both nights. Hotel kept calling the city to get them to stop.

Rooms looked recently upgraded especially ensuite.

The location was excellent, right in the CBD and near the harbor and all the shops.

The facilities were crappy: the room in itself was small and untidy and there were coachroaches. The TV didn't work and there was no elevator so we had to carry our stuff all the way to the top floor, which can be quite a burdain with heavy suitcases. The staff wasn't very helpful in general and the hotel would more accurately be described as a hostel.

Too many stairs

The location is very convenient.

The decor was rundown with many minor maintenance jobs awaiting attention. This included loose door handles, poor wiring, broken window and holes in the wall. The air conditioning control was shared by multiple rooms and did not stay on our preferred setting for long!

location was perfect. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Loved being able to stow the luggage before and after checkin.
