“ The owners of this motel obviusly care about the experience of their guests and it was immaculately clean. The best motel we have stayed in to date, with great outside space elevated overlooking the pool and the Clare Valley. Definitely worth a visit. ”

Set on 27 acres in the heart of the Clare Valley, this motel was the recipient of the 2012 South Australian Tourism Silver Medal. It offers a saltwater swimming pool, a restaurant and a BBQ area surrounded by trees and birdlife. The peaceful Clare Valley Motel is 10 minutes' walk from the Riesling Trail and the centre of Clare. Featuring a log fire, the cosy Top of the Hill restaurant serves local and western specialities. Room service meals can be requested for breakfast and dinner. Guests can access internet at the property’s business centre and laundry services are available. Each of the air-conditioned guest rooms offer a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. All include an en suite bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Motel Clare Valley is a 20-minute drive from the town of Auburn and from the Auburn Art Gallery. It is a 30-minute drive from the historic mining town of Burra. We loved the location, just a bit out of the main town centre. This hotel has a lovely outlook overlooking the lovely Clare countryside. It has lovely gardens also. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast we had in the restaurant was lovely. There was nothing I can really say I didnt like about our stay at this hotel.

I travel to Clare every year for business. This is the first time I've stayed at Clare Valley Motel, but I know where I'll be staying from now on! Really friendly staff, lovely fresh clean accommodation, great meals. Couldn't have been happier.

Lee Stokes (proprietor) was a great host and very friendly. Cooked breakfast was great and the location to the Clare Valley vineyards was ideal. Our room was very clean, comfortable and up-to-date as a result of Lee's refurbishments. Lovely high views and well kept surrounds. Evening meals were a little disappointing, particularly the scallops.

Our room was not large, but served the purpose well. It was spotlessly clean and all the usual facilities were there and in good working condition. Situated off the main road in a semi rural setting which was quiet and peaceful. Only booked in for one night!

Mine host guided us on the local area and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the various locations. The restaurant was excellent with chef coming out to ask us how we enjoyed our meal. Very good value for money, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this motel.
