Good location to Port Arthur
Outdated and needs good coffee
A very homely and welcoming cottage. We will be back for sure. Thankyou
Dennis was a great host. Nice quiet location just outside of Port Arthur
It was private and cosy and well-equipped
Having to check out at 10 - we wished we could have stayed longer!

Nice cosy cottage. The host is super nice. I left my scarf behind, and they posted it back to me for free even when I insist to pay back postage.
Very rustic, quiet and located in a picturesque spot. The wood fire was supported with lots of wood. No TV meant time for each other.
Notes all over the place, extra charge to use air con and fire together. Could have been cleaner, less dusty.
The cottage was very well equipped with a very comfortable bed. It is close to the penal settlement at Port Arthur.
clean and had everything you need, nice to have clean polished floors instead of carpet
looks a bit tacky
Loved the location! Bush surrounds. View of the inlet through the trees. Incredibly peaceful. Very cosy cotttage. Wish we could have stayed longer! Dennis full of information and knowledge of the area.
Couldn't get the wood heater to work. Bed was cosy but a little too soft for my back.
The location was serene and quiet
Basic but comfortable
quietness and the wonderful view from the balcony. Also the night light in the bathroom was an excellent feature!
Spacious, comfortable house in quiet location. Very amiable host.
No adverse features at all.
Everything was great, only wish we could have spent more time there.
We loved everything about this accommodation. Denis was full of knowledge for us. We booked for 2 nights but stayed an extra night cos we loved it so much.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Very bad accomodation. I agree fully with the negative comments given by Melvyn on 21 Dec. 2013. The bad bed caused me a backache that lasted a week! Not worth the money
We stayed 2 nights in this cottage and then a 3rd night in the classic convict cottage, without doubt one of the best we have ever experienced loved the gardens, all the special touches in the houses, decor, loads of books and games and stunning outlook across the very end of Port Arthur Bay, so peaceful and beautiful we could have stayed forever. Denis the host was packed with such helpful advice and information, you won't do better than this is you want to get away from it all. Excellent wifi and very close to port Arthur.
Wildlife was lovely. Very quiet, peaceful location although a bit isolated.
Premises not as clean as we would have expected... very distinct "fishy" smell from kitchen sink (which I cleaned before using). Yard area not maintained. No cover for car. Driveway access difficult. Not good value considering cost. Toaster didn't work properly and no CD/DVD player (only an old cassette radio). Place was cluttered with craftworks for sale taking up benchspace. Bedlinen was old (although clean). Thin, well used sheets and doona. Outdoor seating was dirty and unstable.
A few problems within the property. The owner took on board our constructive criticisms and corrected after we departed.
there was nothing to dislike
The welcoming cosy feeling
