We loved our stay here so relaxing and great hospitality had everything we needed! We would Definitly stay here again and recommend anyone to do the same...loved it!!
The lovely setting and garden;and friendly staff
Great cottages set in a wonderful landscaped gardens. Had a great welcome by Sam the dog! Doug was fantastic and welcoming, told us about what walks to do around town, and where the best places to eat were. Unfortunately the tea house was closed but had a lovely breakfast (complimentary Euro fare) and complimentary port, which was fantastic sipping in front of the fire after dinner! Highly recommend staying here.
Comfortable bed, warm and very comfortable. The nice litle touches like the teddy bear and bath salts, and particularly the fresh coffee and port and chocolates.
The weather, but you can't do anything about that!
We liked the personal touch of food in the fridge and port and chocolate every night. The owner is friendly and very helpful. The garden setting is great.
Quiet,quant,well serviced and cosy
Flat batteries in remote controls.Cheap plug in spa nearly impossible to remove.
The additional personal recommendations of where to eat in Port Fairy were very welcomed, after our late arrival. Loved it - just wished we had stayed an extra night.
Loved the general setting, the rustic gardens and the attention to detail. Port and chocolates in the room every night. Continental breakfast was great. A friendly owner who wanted to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
the owner was very welcoming! the cottage was very cosy with a lovely gas fire placing!
The cottage was comfy and warm and large enough for four adults. Everything was there, and the decor was just perfect for a 140 year old cottage. Just gorgeous!
There was nothing that we didn't like, everything was perfect.
The cottages were beautiful and well laid out. The spa bath was a lovely bonus and loved the Victorian style bathroom decor with open shower! A short drive to quaint pubs, shops and restaurants. A great stopping point on the Great Ocean Road.
We liked it all!!
Good location and well landscaped. No ocean view. Breakfast of dryed serial and milk was complimentary. A more elaborate breakfast is available in the main house. Ruth runs a friendly well organized operation in a simply cute town of Port Fairy. Loved it! She also gives great and accurate advise on where to eat.
Not on Ocean.
We really enjoyed our stay at Clonmara. We had the historic 2 BR cottage built in the 1860s which still had a lot of original features but had everything required in today's day & age. The cottage and garden were picture perfect. Inside the best feature was the beds which were really comfy. There was a large fridge (so no problem with trying to squeeze in bottles) and iceblocks in the freezer! A must for those who like a mix of old and new, not for those wanting the ultra-modern.
Ruth was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The accommodation was so relaxing and pleasant, will definately be going back. Sian
Beautiful grounds and gardens
Quiet location with bird life & lamas
The shower was very changeable & impossible to regulate
Cosy and comfortable with an old world feel. Loved the Home cooked Salty Caramel Scones.
Balcony with view on the countryside Cosy cottage Friendly staff
Beautiful old cottage very comfortable. Beautiful location.
The coffee shop was closed Monday and Tuesday and we did not know about that.
Great views and location.
Cosy well fitted out very clean
Bad door handles difficult to open from inside . Poor lighting ,couldn't read at night. Original booking cottage had no air con .had to change ,lucky another vacany.Don't be fooled by Port Fairy seafood ads. There is none.
Quiet area, comfortable facilities, had everything that was needed
very blunt knife in kitchen, shower difficult to get steady flow, bathroom curtain needed repair for privacy
Clean and comfy bed
No air con in the cottage but a fan was provided and that and the ceiling fan did the job.
We liked the old world charm with discreet mod cons. The garden was private and green and shady and the stone wall beautiful.
After four days with temperatures in the forties the old cottage had warmed up. The bedroom was hot on the first night even with the window wide open.
