Staff, food, parking, location close to marina & shopping centre.
Rooms need a make over, shower head leaked, was Hot so was the pool.
The family atmosphere
Both rooms had a horrible wet blanket smell odour and airconditioner filtets were dirty I had to clean them
The staff were lovely and staff were available and friendly at all times. A large complex and even though there was a party with live music on the saturday night it was very quiet and peaceful. Had dinner in the bar and it was great food and value for money.
we thought there could have been few more items on bistro menu. we did enjoy the chicken parma
Was good for a short stay
There was no dooner on beds or blankets in the room and there was little bed bugs or ants crawling over all surfaces
The music was great to listen to on the sunday.
I went there with my 7 children and my sister had 2, 6 of the children got sick high temps and ear aches and gastro we put this down to the pool.
our room was newly renovated. pool was nice but run down.
No private balcony, no privacy in room (unless you draw curtains and sit in the dark). Hotel is generally very run down. The paving around the hotel, especially around the pool, is falling apart. Smelly rubbish bags lying around on all days of our stay. Leaves / rubbish from palms lying around.
Clean room, comfy bed. Was great value for money. Wasn't loud with young people/backpackers enjoying the night.
Used towels still hanging on towel rails. No where to hang wet towels and bathers after a day enjoying the islands. Your almost better paying extra and staying on the islands with the cost of barges over....
We got upgraded to a refurb room which was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location good, taxi to Airlie for less than $10.
The pool wasn't very clean. The breakfast was poor, small flies all over the fruit, we could not eat it so we paid $12 for toast.
room is good size and pretty comfortable
The pool ,bar and decking
Matress had springs poking through hair in all drains .and at first was givin a key to walk into a dirty mouldy smelly room that had not been cleaned.housekeeping fault!! As they registed it as clean .Reception guy was great in fixing it quickly
The children could play in the pool and we could see them from our room or the restaurant. Cocktails were fantastic Staff v friendly
Family rooms were a bit small
not much very average place - Nothing stood out that I liked but was all ok and really nothing to complain about either only the price of the Cider was quiet dear. The lady at reception was lovely.
Bar closed early, didn't have any towels in our room when we went in, were sure if they supplied them or not. Little bit grotty looking just kind of old maybe.
The pool area was amazing and the fact that staff waited on you so you didn't have to leave the poolside to get anything was great.
I wouldn't say I disliked anything however I think the whole place desperately needs some maintenence. With a little love and care this place could be amazingly stunning
the staff were very helpful and friendly the room was clean and roomy pool area amazing
around the hotel needed cleaning like rubbish in the gardens long walk to and from main strip
Great value for money close to everything
place looks run down needs more maintenance
close to supermarket and across the road from the water and good boardwalk to marina
undercover car park would have been an advantage as we were there in the wet season and had to bear the rain to reach the car every time we went out
especially as staying for Xmas, was disappointed to arrive to a half-hearted attempt at decorating a tree in the foyer, and steps that needed a good sweep. (Still hadn't been swept by the time we left 3 days later) Not a great first impression. Atmosphere bearing in mind it was Xmas was poor, hardly anyone there Xmas eve. Just a bit disappointing really. Fortunately turned down the expensive Xmas lunch based on the quality of the dinner we had Xmas eve.
Family friendly, not recommended for couples or solo travellers
Was there over the busy holiday season, lots of people all in the one place. Felt like a dated housing complex. Noisy neighbours playing music, swearing and screaming which was quite annoying when it continues at 11pm at night. Rooms are average, hard bed, dated furniture and bathroom, lousy air conditioner, no kitchenware. Not really in Airlie Beach either, more like Cannonvale.
The whole place is built for a relaxing getaway! Great place and great staff!
Location was a bit out of the way, but wasn't necessarily a really bad thing either!
We did like that they offer a good breakfast each morning for less than $20
Club crocodile is in serious need of a face lift, myself and my fiancé got a taxi back like each night when the taxi man told us that club crocodile was the place to be 25years ago and I am in no doubt that no renovations have been done since! The room we had, had small ants most places. I would not recommend club crock for backpackers to stay because if you don't have your transport you will be paying for a taxi each time in and out of airlie, unless you like to walk.
As soon as you walked in the whole place had an air of neglect, from the entrance steps covered in rubbish and leaves and dust, which was like that the 3 days we were there, to the piles of rubbish and laundry thrown off the balconies, and left in piles everywhere, the whole place needs a huge overhaul , the photos made the place look good , we were so disappointed
room dirty ,taps broken, toilet holder loose on wall ,only one chair in room have to sit on bed
