    I Need Airlie Beach!

I Need Airlie Beach! It has destressed me many times after extreme personal or work stress. The view, the perfect water temps in unheated pools, the ten minute rain storms that give way to a perfect day. It is better to stay at Airlie Beach, in my opinion, than on the islands, as they offer greater amenities and diversity, plus you still have to charter a boat from an Island or the mainland anyway. Tip for the island resorts: Offer discounted or all inclusive water charter packages and advertise it heavily, or find yourselves derelict facilities bought by a Chinese Company. Always check the weather. Bad weather or Coral spawning night means poor water clarity. Don't swim where the locals won't, due to crocs and Wear your Stinger suit. A box jellyfish came within a foot of me a week ago before I saw it and I have been snorkelling since 1985, spending countless hours and a total of four weeks camping on Lady Musgrave Island. Don't book during the wet season if you are not prepared to be dissatisfied with a patch of bad weather. Do your research.

Fab place and great for visiting the islands.

Fab place and great for visiting the islands. Information about transport to islands confusing. Would book a crossing to Hamilton island as a ferry passenger next time and not as part of one day tour, better value for money

2 different parts of Airlie beach in our opinion. 1 half for clubbing and definately active beach vibe. Great hostel in a good location. All around the Main Street. The other half heading towards the Marina has a much more laid back, up market vibe if you are looking for a little more luxury to your Airlie time. Very few restaurants open for food for example after around 6 in Main Street. On the marina were fantastic places without music and karaoke if that suits you better.

Airlie Beach resort is a chilled, laid back place situated at the gateway to the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. It’s the perfect location from which you can enjoy many options for trips out to the islands and the reef. After a day on the water the lagoon is just right for a refreshing cool off. There are numerous beach front bars/restaurants offering great food/ drink and spectacular views. Accommodation wise there are many options to suit every budget. We stayed at the Airlie Beach Apartments which are a great little gem of a find ; perfect location and sea views, very clean, lovely pool and friendly staff . We will certainly be back .

This apartment is located in a very convenient part of Airlie Beach...everything is within walking distance. We loved how Michelle has thought of all the little things to make a holiday special - complimentary snacks, pantry stocked with essentials, board games, BBQ and very comfortable beds. The self-contained apartment was clean and quite spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again! Definitely recommend Montipora for visitors to Airlie!

Everything! Staff are awesome! Bar and food is awesome! Room was spotless, possibly just been redecorated it's so clean! The bed was unbelievable! Best bed we have stayed in for our whole trip and this is including the apartments and hotels we stayed in. Aircon was perfect. Two pools to choose from both clean, not even a leaf floating on the surface! Close to all shops, lagoon and port for whitsundays. Honestly faultless

the view was breathtaking. The infinity is quiet something to behold, each apartment overlooks the impressive pool, with the amazing backdrop of the waters off Airlie Beach. The lift from reception to the apartments comes up from underneath the pool onto a boardwalk going over the pool. Yes I’m going on about the pool and you will see for yourself why if you stay at Martinique Resort.

The hostel is right in the middle of the heart of airlie beach but set back from the road amongst the jungle. Everything was super clean, the kitchen was so so clean and well organised! And the stay was so cheap (just had the standard twin room), aircon and kettle in the room too and $5 pppn bag storage for our boat trip. Not noisy either. Thanks so much!

Just follow the instruction that was sent via email. Use coding to get the key. The email said it has 2 keys/duplicate key but when we arrived we got only 1 key. When finally going home, there's another set of key that they just put. I like being accessible to the main or heart of Airlie Beach.Excellent location.

Location and view were fabulous. Pool & BBQ facilities also top rate. Room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for the 4 of us. Host was always helpful & responsive. All at a very reasonable nightly rate - esp when compared to other properties in Airlie Beach.
