convenient location to Hunter Valley wineries; older property but clean and spacious. very friendly, helpfull staff. no restaurant on site, but good food next door at Peden's. usually being downtown is good for availability of services, but Cessnock's downtown area is sad, with many boarded up businesses. would not feel comfortable wandering at night. good sound proofing between rooms, but zero sound proofing on front door. since rooms are non-smoking, this means that people stand on front balconies to smoke and socialize, and you might as well join them, as you can hear every word!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room, for very little extra investment, could have been far more welcoming. Saturday night in Cessnock is very loud as were our fellow guests!!

Stayed overnight at the motel with a group of 4 friends in a family room for playing golf in various Hunter Valley golf courses over two Easter days. Exactly what you expect a modest motel room to be. Staff was friendly enough and the location was good enough. Little bit of stale smell when we first got in but didn't notice after a while.

The location was superb just round the corner for the shops, resturants and bars, good wi fi in the pub on the corner, no need to take the car, the tours to the vineyards were excellent and the tour operator picked us up from the motel. We were on holiday from the uk and wanted to speak to our grandchildren on skyp but the internet wi fi reception was very bad, we had to stand on the stairs outside to get a reception

The rooms were clean and very spacious. They were easily accessible - even the rooms on the upper storey. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was excellent - plenty of room - particularly the shower. The owners were welcoming and very helpful on checking in and out. The booking was very simple, quick and efficient. The Comfort Inn is close to the vineyards and there is no pressure to have to stay two nights. There is plenty of parking on site. The room rates were reasonable. Overall, we had a short stay however, the experience was excellent and I will definitely be using them again and I will promote their Inn to friends and family.

Our stay at the Comfort Inn was fantastic. The location was great, within walking distance to shops and restaurants,and only a short drive to the wineries and gardens. The rooms were lovely,clean and roomy, with airconditioning and ceiling fans, and the outdoor pool was sparkly too.Staff were very friendly and informative,and nothing was a bother for them. I will definately be returning again, and highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing weekend or overnight stay. Thanks again to the staff for making our stay a memorable and pleasant one.See you again soon. The tea cups.Too small need mugs,and maybe some cutlery too, as a microwave is provided.
