large rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff

Great location and comfy room, very quiet yet lots of eateries on the doorstep.

Credit card fees I was slugged with when settling account...first time I've had to pay more than what was on the booking.com sheet I printed out.

The staff were amazing. The room was really nice and it was a really comfortable stay. The amenities in the room were really helpful and we loved the big mirror in the room! :)

It was kind of hard to find inside the como building...but that was probably due to our retardness more than anything...

Location is fantastic, close to shops and restaurants.

Overpriced and a bit outdated. The day we checked out there was a back log with taxis with over a 2 hour wait, I was disappoint that the staff didn't try to do a bot more to assist us. We were at risk if missing our flights and I just paid over $1100 for 3 nights of accomodation. I expected a bit more.

This is the stingiest hotel i have experienced for the room rate that you charge you give nothing to the guesst. No free wifi except a lousy 30 minutes in the lobby, no free bottled water except 2 bottles on the first stay. Most hotels allow up to 3pm check out but not this hotel.The Como owners should wake up and see what their competition are doing and current practice all over the world. This hotel is still in the old horse and buggy era. I would not stay or recommend this hotel again.

We stayed over the Xmas period and had a fantastic stay. The BBQ and pool facilities were great to use. Also the staff were very helpful during our stay.

The staff were beyond excellent and helpful

$25 a day for Wifi is outrageous but apparently standard for Australia - needs to change as 4 nights was $100 !

The Como is newly rennovated & the rooms are very comfortable & a good size. Breakfast was great with freshly cooked hot items & some nice touches on the buffet. The location in South Yarra is perfect with a fantastic array of shops, bars & restaurants right at the hotel. There is also a Palace Cinema in the Como complex which is very convenient!

Small things.....I would expect a better quality linen in a 5 star hotel. The linens were very basic & starchy. They have also gone cheap & cheerful on the toilet paper & tissues, and the gym equipment needs to be upgraded - people notice these small things & when added together, they become larger!!

Internet access is extra at $24.95 per 24-hour. Putting internet access as an optional service is perfectly fine, but the problem is that there is a data usage cap of 300mb, which is way too low.

Personnel were friendly and helpful.

You have to pay extra for films, the spa in the room was tiny and difficult for two people, the view was nothing short of 3 star and the pool was dull.

Our stay at the Como was excellent, especially at the start when we arrived late on a Friday evening feeliing quite tired, to a warm, friendly and efficient greeting from all staff members. Our room was very comfortable, especially the bed, and had been nicely refurbished since we stayed at the hotel last year. The location of the hotel is very convenient with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The Como manages to consistently combine a high standard of care with very relaxed and friendly service.

My experience at the Como Melbourne was faultless. The staff were all amazing, the room was palatial and the hotel was immaculate. My only criticism is that the pool closed at 10pm. I work every night until 10:30pm and would have loved to have had a swim upon returning to the hotel.

The room and staff were faultless plus the bed was super comfortable. Very nice stay.

Outstanding hotel. Quiet rooms with very comfortable beds. We had a suite which was huge and appeared to have been just refurbished. Everything was immaculate and high quality. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for shops and cafes and for tram into city.
