Urine smell in showers and stuffy air in room with window into air lock that also smells of urine

Staff at reception were brilliant very friendly and helpful. The location was good and Victoria Park opposite lovely. Friendly atmosphere

No reception staff at night so kitchen closure rules not observed and there was tv and party noise till 2-3 am each night. Need a little more comfort in family room another side table.

Polite and smiling staff (mainly the young australian guy), position just 3 stops from central train station, clean bathroom, working airconditioning, comfortable bed

I have made a change after booking (and payment)...I Extended my stay by a day...it was 6 months ahead and unfortunately booking.com didnt informed the hostel about it.

The kitchen is reasonably well appointed, easy to use, and with good cooking facilities. Cooper Lodge is across the road from University of Sydney, so a perfect location for me, but also good for anyone wanting to look around Sydney. Wifi worked well in my room--this has not always been true of everywhere I have stayed where wifi is advertised. Well placed for supermarket and other shopping. The social atmosphere is warm and homely. The manager, Janine, stayed beyond her finishing time for the day to get me settled in when I arrived late. She is a warm, careful person, whose talent for hospitality sets the standard so that the residents are civil, helpful and friendly. Janine works so hard and with such an excellent attitude to make things run well that I assumed she must be the owner. Other staff were also very forthcoming in going the extra distance to make things work how I needed them to.

Front rooms over six lane road a bit noisy--air-plugs meant I got excellent nights sleep, though. Wash rooms are down one end of a long narrow building so if you are at the other end, it is a long hike down in the morning.

Erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. De badkamer en toiletten zijn net gemoderniseerd en zijn zeker voor een hostel erg luxe. Verder zeer nette en schoon hostel met gratis wifi. Vlakbij centraal station.

De kamer was behoorlijk klein voor 2 personen.

Odwiedzil mnie rano karaluch wielkosci malego palca. Dostojnie poweszyl I takoz wyszedl przez szpare pod drzwiami.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. And the Wifi was free, unlike many other hotels.

Its has the best hostel rooms I've ever seen! Solid timber beds, so no squeeking, black out curtains, ac, individual wardrobes with locks, decent cooking facilities, iron, and plenty of well kept showers.

Social area is pretty noisey, not very comfortable for hanging out and the rooms to the front get a LOT of the traffic noise.

Double room was basic, bed comfy decent amount of room, en suite was very nice room but bathroom smelt like drains were blocked

Room smelt weird, for the price of a double room, would have expected breakfast included.

Many of electrical items not working properly eg flat remote battery and most lights not walking. Very noisy. Door too short, window would not close room opposite lounge room so sleep continually interrupted.

The manager, who is a lady in her fifties, is very nice, friendly, and helpful!
