Spa bath no in full working condition, problem with the water
Meeting a pademelon outside our door at 7am. Friendly, helpful staff.
Having to leave.
Close to activities no nonsense accommodation with everything needed for a comfortable stay well designed
Excellent hardware, good staff, nice location, should stay a little long, next time...
Cabins were lovely; clean, warm, had everything we wanted.
We had booked for dinner but still had to wait one and a half hours for meal. Asked for bread basket to sustain us - rolls were doughy, butter very hard. Staff said had only one cook!!
surrounds, restaurant, staff
We enjoyed the view and surroundings
We needed an oven to cook
Comfortable bed and living area Nice bathroom Small wallabies great you in the morning on the back porch Very close to the national park
The resident rock wallaby, wombats and bird life were right outside the window of the cabin.
The weather is unpredictable but the facilities were great.
The room was lovely and the bed was comfy. We only stayed one night but wish it could have been longer ? View from the rooms are just beautiful.
It was very cold when we stayed and while the room itself was amazing the trip to the bathroom was freezing no heating and to have a shower was a battle of wills ?
Room was warm when we arrived on a very cold afternoon. It was modern with good bathroom and kitchen and comfortable bed.
Pretty much everything! Love the spa in the middle of our cottage room, looking out to a massive window so can see the bush&birds when in bath. Very comfortable and conveniently located. Great place for a getaway in Mt cradle.
Restaurant was booked out which was a shame, though it proves the food must be good. No wifi in the room, have to pay $3 for 15mins internet usage, just be prepared.
Loved the apartment and the SPa although the brown water grossed me out a bit it's the natural tannins in the water, and would've liked to see a oven in the self contained unit, it only had a stove top, enjoyed our stay would go again!
- location to visitor centre and local activities - parking out front of cabin - heating and size of cabin generous
- staff not friendly upon check in or check out- just doing job and weren't very welcoming - restaurant experience not great - quite stingy on room supplies: 3 x tea bags for 2 x nights stay (we ran out and had to get some ourselves from restaurant) and we were given 1 x toilet roll for 2 x nights (which ended up being enough but we thought was strange that a spare not given)
bushland setting was great.
the brown water in the spa was a turnoff..didn't use it as was too univiting. get rid of spa if can't provide clean water and the road signage was non existent making it difficult to find the joint. and no internet made it annoying finding the right turnoff to the resort
Great location, wildlife and facilities.
5 minutes drive to all the walks around cradle mountain
I couldn't afford to stay any longer
Wildlife Tranquility Spacious room Heating Knowledge of reception staff
No restaurant open evening we were staying despite email to say it was Brown water out of taps
Chalets are well equipped, clean and staff very friendly. Excellent stay thankyou.
Wine available was very nice but overpriced. Sorry this is a very minor gripe.
A beautiful peaceful position! A lovely cosy warm cabin!
privacy restaurant bush setting
guest lounge could be better set up
The accommodation was all that we required. We were only staying one night, and it's not easy finding a place for 5 adults. It was clean and tidy, and close to all that Cradle Mountain has to offer. Why pay a lot more when all you need is somewhere clean and warm with a good bed? And as promised .. the wildlife was in abundance!
It was a shame that the restaurant was closed. The pics on the website of sitting around an open fire were very appealing. I don't understand why tourism operators close over winter when a lot of people travel to Tassie at this time of the year. We found it all around the state.
the cabin with spa was beautiful. Peaceful, private, visiting wildlife, lovely decor, great heating. close to cradle mountain walks and national parks info centre.
we would have liked a few more kitchen accessories as it was a fully self contained unit, like cooking oil and maybe soy sauce. the restaurant was not open on the two days we were there and we were not warned in advance. an optional breakfast hamper would be nice, as would complimentary chocolate or port as in so many other places.
Lovely cabin accommodation in a natural environment. 2 min drive to national park office to obtain entry tickets to cradle mountain area.
The premium cabins were super cute clean and comfy and almost every time we opened the front door there was a friendly little wallaby there. The staff were lovely and helpful.
The brown water, they assured us it was drinkable and maybe I'm a bit snobby but I'm sure it made me feel a bit ill, also the lack of cooked breakfast. You could only order breakfast hampers that you have to cook yourself, I only get one holiday a year the last thing I want to do is cook breakfast and they didn't even have another option, we went to different hotels for breakfast both mornings and both were unwelcoming, even though we were paying customers they made us feel like they didn't want us there because we hadn't stayed with them so I would have really liked a cooked breakfast and even lunch option at the wilderness village.
