Spent a night here last weekend. Room was nicely decorated, big enough and comfortable, as was the bathroom. It was towards the rear of the property, with no view (who cares when you are asleep) and very quiet; couldn't even hear the bathroom plumbing from the bedroom (which is more than I can say for just about any modern property). Had a nice dinner and enjoyable wines in the Gallery bistro. Had the included continental breakfast the following morning, with delightful poached (not tinned, like so many places) fruit, and absolutely yummy vanilla yoghurt. Plunger coffee quite adequate. Service was polite and efficient all round, both at check-in/checkout and in the bistro. One suggestion - would like to see some quality "Craigs" memorabilia available from the 'cafe & larder'.
Unfortunately the wi-fi needs an upgrade, too weak, unable to connect. The main bar was too noisy for a quiet drink, better to use the foyer lounge if you want quiet. Pokies, but they are reasonably discretely tucked away, didn't intrude. And one other little gripe, can't find anywhere to provide feedback to the management on the Craig's web site. The room didn't seem like great value for money at the rate we paid, but there seem to be better deals available, ours was a pretty last minute booking.
