Room and Facilities were up with the best.Particularly liked the pool. The Bar&Lounge on the 28th floor was excellent..especially the smoker's deck.
That you had to pay for subsequent cups of coffee at breakfast was a little unusual?
Its obvious i liked everything as this is the only place i stay when in Melbourne..
Everything. From the quick check in (club access room) to our amazing room on level 26 with the biggest, most comfortable bed ever. The executive lounge was one of the best I've been in with a great full breakfast, night drinks and nibbles (and not just cheap house wine but proper spirits) and all for a great price. The pool was lovely and the whole hotel had an electric luxury vibe.
The only thing I would love to see is a better choice of Sparkling/Champagnes on the in room dining. Only 4 to choose from.
The room and view was beautiful. Very comfy bed and loved the open plan bathroom which you could close off
The orange carpet
Great location with plenty of restaurants around.
Stayed here for my wedding/honeymoon. Given the wrong room on check-in. Needed a smoking twin, got the exact opposite. Night Staff were not even willing to help sort out the situation. For the price you pay per night you can get a lot better.
The hotel was very convenient for business travellers. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff wer very helpful.
A minor concern was the open bathroom style linked to the bedroom. When sharing with a business colleague it was less private than I would have liked.
The smell of the hotel was delicious, the service was fantastic, room was beautiful, pool was magnificent. Wonderful experience.
The staff in the sky bar is really rude, ridiculous service
This is a large modern hotel just south of the Yarra river. It has very comfortable beds, good gym facilities, and a lovely pool on the next-to-the-top floor. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Somewhat expensive! And it is annoying to be charged extra for high-speed internet. Still, all in all, we had a very pleasant stay.
I stay there regularly I'm driven to stay in an other Hotel at certain times as you are 20 30% more expensive, racing carnival, Melbourne Cup. I would suggest to you that I'm considering staying at the other Hotel permanently when I travel.
The room, nice and modern. Great size bed and awesome views
The pool area and staff were fabulous.
A credit card service fee of $10.96!
Doormen/ Concierge were friendly and helpful.
i travel a lot. Never seen a ruder more dismissive bunch of reception staff ever. Pretty tacky offering a gambling voucher on check in.
Comfy bed. Magazines in room. Location and room view.
The room is spacious luxuriously finished as well as the bathroom. Sliding doors that open the bathroom into the bedroom area giving an even greater feeling of space. Lots of storage draws and hanging space. overall a great room to stay in!
position, parking very enjoyable stay
Everything was beautiful!
Nothing negative! Thank you
The fact that breakfast was not part of the package
What better way to take in the beautiful Melbourne city skyline than in a heated infantry pool on the 27th floor. Sunset and Sunrise I could have relaxed all day and when your done relaxing your only one level away from from the sky bar!
I regularly stay at the Metropol when in Melbourne on business. It is a little bit like coming home, each time I stay there. Staff are always very friendly and helpful!
Clenliness, access to the city
Huge money for a basic room, no breakfast- what the hell- slow bellmen- obviously the working class are looked down on here! Gils behind desk have attitude! ! Never again
location,staff and facilities
