I liked the historic nature of the Customs House. Its location beside the docks and close to Salamanca place makes it a great place to stay for a couple of days. Very noisy very late on Friday and Saturday

A comfortable hotel. Excellent location close to City Centre, Salamanca dock area and market on Sunday. Restaurant provided quality food and reasonable prices. Car parking was an issue . Booking.com stated parking was available at a nearby place for $6 per day, but this option not available on weekends, which meant car had to be continually moved. Website needs to be amended

Closeness to the harbour. Very central. Breakfast was good, Bar and restaurant staff friendly. Lovely view from the restaurant. Getting our luggage to the 3rd floor. Young receptionist/ concierge on duty the day we arrived very vague and unhelpful. Credited our account instead of someone elses then had to debit us didn't give us a copy...very unprofessional. Lamp didn't work so reported this no follow up same staff person. The rest of the staff were great.

Our room was comfortable and clean, the staff friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the hot breakfasts! We had heard noise was a problem - not for us as there was just one singer, he was good and he finished at 11pm! We would have liked a plate or two and a knife in the room but I'm now thinking we could have asked downstairs and we would have been given what we needed.

Polite friendly staff. Well situated. Our first reservation was cancelled due to my sister unexpectedly being hospitalised. No charge was made for this cancellation, and thus we rebooked when she was able to travel. We chose Custom House because of its situation my sisters illness precludes her from walking too far. The room we stayed was never dusted and the carpet was quite stained.

Location so close to Salamanca and the wharf area is a plus. Reasonably priced and the room was quite comfortable. Friday and Saturday night was still quite noisy past midnight and again as early morning street cleaning was carried out. Much much better on Sunday night. Parking is problematic on weekends as the hotel only has a weekday parking arrangement. Would recommend for week day stays.

Central location, comfortable surroundings, large room, seperate sitting area, nice and relaxed breakfast arrangement. Loud music at night but not necessarily from Customs House as there was another pub very near by
