Set in quiet rural surrounds down a private laneway, Della Fonte offers the comforts of home in the idyllic town of Daylesford. Wander down to the bottom of the secluded garden and discover a natural spring that will delight guests of all ages. Offering open plan living, full kitchen and a mix of queen and single beds, this accommodation is suitable for families, a group of friends, or couples looking for a bit of space. Della Fonte is a Dog Friendly property but does not have a secure yard. The main street is a quick 3 minute drive away, while a hearty walk will take you to the Farmers Arms or Wombat Hill House; Alla Wolf-Tasker’s delightful café set in the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens. You’ll find all that you need for a short or long stay. This property may prove challenging for guests with mobility issues with a stair case leading to the 2nd level.

The Daylesford-Hepburn Region is famous for its mineral waters and is known as the Spa Centre of Australia. Our beautiful scenery includes the famous Lake Daylesford, the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and the Wombat State Forest. There are historic buildings in the main street of Daylesford and the region’s history lies in the rush for gold. Lake Daylesford now covers land upon which gold was first discovered and offers lakeside picnic spots, cafes, walking tracks, fishing and pedal boating. The internationally known Lake House sits on its shores and there are public BBQ facilities and amenities adjacent to the main parking area. Lake Jubilee is located south of Daylesford (about a 10-15 minute drive) and is ideal for fishing, boating and swimming. If you are looking for a waterfall, visit Sailor’s Falls, less than 30 minutes south from the Daylesford Town Centre. If you are into the outdoors, Daylesford sits at the junction of three walking trails that are part of the Great Dividing Trail – the Lerderderg Track, the Dry Diggings Track and the Wallaby Track. The Hepburn Regional Park is a little less challenging and contains mineral springs and relics of the bygone gold era.
