Villas much better than motel rooms at same price. Plenty space and a great kitchenette. Good private outdoor area for each villa.

Excellent design & concept. Loved the separation of the villas - no neighbour noise. Great pool. Most comfortable bed ever slept on including our bed at home! No need to fight with the plumbing to have a good shower. Excellent kitchen facilities. Wi-fi didn't work, but it seems no-one else was having a problem. I guess the wi-fi gods just weren't smiling on us at the time :)

The location was good. Alice Springs is interesting to visit. The facilities were not really 3.5 star and there was no service the day we arrived yet we had not been warned of this. The staff were not terribly interested. The rooms were quite dark with no view at all and we were initially located opposite the laundry, which was noisy.

Clean, comfortable and very quiet. The resort was secure and in a nice area, however a little out of the town center. The kitchenette was well stocked and the resort pool was cool & refreshing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A niced sized villa with a spacious veranda to sit and enjoy the palm trees and birds singing.

Individual bungalows nicely set out in tropical surroundings. Quiet resort, nice verandahs to sit out in the evenings without being disturbed, good cooking facilities, free wifi Could do with a net curtain across the front windows as you have to keep the curtains drawn for privacy. Also did not like being asked to pay as soon as we arrived before we saw the room, after all they have credit card details, so hardly likely to leave without paying.

Closeness to other facilities; gated community at night etc. The oppressive heat in the rooms - no insulation - and took ages to cool down with airconditioner. Disgusted to find cockroaches (dead) inside electric frypan and cutlery container.

Nothing really it was pretty average to poor and nothing like it was made out to be. No value for money. Over priced for what you get. You are better of staying next door at Crowne Plaza significantly better value for money. The toilets could well do with a decent clean. The make up of the rooms average to very poor. The staff making up the room obviously lack any attention to detail.

to relax in the pool after a long days drive, location of unit. the hot afternoon sun streaming in through the glass doors/windows. That would be nice in the winter time.

Was a bit of a blind guess as to picking the 'resort' I had no idea what Alice Springs looked like, so didn't know how far from the town it would be. The room was ok, it was very clean and quite well appointed. Bed was comfortable enough for me on my own. Wouldn't have liked to stay as a family in the one open planned room. One of the main reasons I picked the 'resort' was the advertised wi fi in every room. This is false advertising. There is wi fi but is limited to certain hot spots, one being the reception and another being the laundry room.... As a traveller from overseas I needed Internet access and this was very annoying. There was also a lack of hot water in the shower. It trickled out unlike the cold which came out at a regular rate.

It was very convenient and suited our purposes. The rooms were too small to bed the four people we had. The add said self contained which isn't quite true.

Have stayed several times in the Desert Palms Resort and my last trip at least the equal of the others. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to assist and were without exception of an ultra friendly disposition. As usual the resort is ideal for both business and pleasure, particularly so with the layout and design affording as much privacy as necessary without precluding the opportunity if so desired of contact with near neighbours.Laundry facilitities more that adequate with internet access within chalet very welcome.A point worth mentioning is that the complex is a very secure facility on a 24 hour basis giving peace of mind not necessarily the case with other facilities. Only that the chalet manual was at odds with what was actually the case in respect of the use of internet through the resort's 'hotspot', plus the the slip of paper advising of log in and password information incorrect in terms of not being able to log out using the email address provided.

I liked the pool but a bit cold. Liked the palms and the village feel in the rooms. The view out of the window was the driveway and tall barbed wire fence, felt cut off from the good pool and needed an eating and coffee area, to meet with others, maybe near the pool.

Its location was convient, its cost good value (at the discount provided) and all around a pleasant place to stay. My brother had his car stolen - I do not hold the resort responsible, but if the boom gate did need a number to exit as stated at reception ....perhaps !. Biggest negative is I thought your receptionist, the on I spoke to on two occassions, needed lessons in awareness (she did not know where the tip was) and comunication (there was not smile, no covnersation and no interest expressed by here about anything (not referring to the robbery here).

The spacious rooms and decor. Comfortable beds and large shower. I enjoyed the option of either cooking for myself or dining out. An easy walk to the town centre. The rooms can be quote a distance from reception. An offer of being taken to my villa would have be great.
