Spacious, comfortable, excellent value for money, parking included, great little laundry and kitchen with high quality appliances
Bed was ok but not the greatest, air con a little sporadic and difficult to operate and meant the room was quite warm until we figured out how to force it to cool. Being pretty picky though, generally very impressed
Equipment and infrastructure. View from the apartment and localization
The hotel is well equipped, the staff are friendly and the restaurant is excellent.
The hotel and surrounds were great, though a bit expensive. There are many nice restaurants though as a solo traveller, it was a bit awkward to have so few takeaway options as you had to endure table service alone. The only close supermarket or convenience store is difficult to find and expensive which meant that I didn't really take advantage of the kitchen facilities until the final day. The bed itself was relatively comfortable but because it folds down from the wall, the gap it creates means that the pillows disappear. The blinds are also too sheer to block the light so there is little chance to sleep in past sunrise.
Good location Cinema onsite Good resturants/food options
Was only there one night!
We really liked everything in this fantastic apartment. It was a great place to stay and we'll surely will stay there again when visiting Canberra.
only that we had to leave after two nights.
This hotel/apartments is so close to the some great new restaurants and wine bars. Great location for easy access to the centre of the city as well.
The curtains in the lounge let in light in the morning which is not cut off from the bedroom NOTHING ELSE!
* Great restaurants + bars (5) * Cinema, bakery, shop on site * Breakfast, lunch + dinner choices on site * Aesop amenities and fresh roasted coffee for all rooms
Pretty much everything. High quality. If these prices continue why stay anywhere else in the city?
Building noises woke me quite early one morning
The noise from the road The style of furnishings Modern but extremely uncomfortable and impractical Lack of bedside table and reading lights The restaurant The food was ok but variety was not
Staffs were friendly and helpful
Front bedroom needs blinds or curtain as it was too bright with the sun shinning through. Impossible to sleep in.
Location was pretty good. View was excellent.
Even though parking was subsidised, I believe it should have been free. The best was absolutely awful. I ended up sleeping on the floor. The room design is terrible and cramped.
Excellent location Excellent kitchen/laundry Great toiletries (Aesop) Comfy bed
No air conditioning - told to open window & door but this meant. O security from corridor. After day out the apartment was very hot but cooled down to almost comfortable after opening balcony doors and turning on fans. In the summer a western facing apartment would be worse than a sauna.
Cleanliness Good location can walk to a lot of places. All crockery and dishes of good quality, nice looking oven, it's a pity it did not work
Reception right on main eating, bar area very noisy hard to hear. Hotel staff not really helpfull. Parking is a nightmare. Eco friendly no air con you are suppose to open windows to allow fresh air in good in theory, but not when you are on a major road, too noisy, hence not great for sleeping.
Fast WiFi; Clean room
Staff not friendly; small room; no air-con in room; noisy sounds from next door and upstairs; far from Canberra Centre; bed not comfortable..
Everything. Nice decor. Very quiet. Very helpful staff.
Car parking should be free.
Fantastic central location. Funky design. Friendly welcome from staff. Would definitely choose Hotel Hotel again.
A great apartment in the arts and culture precinct, withing walking distance of the principal sights.
Everything was wonderful . We loved our honeymoon apartment stay.
Liked the style, design, and flair. The staff were great and we both enjoyed our stay, would stay there again when next in Canberra.
Our stay was to short at only 3 nights.
The styling is really cool. In the bar area, the design looks like they've used old Rail Corp cement sleepers and nicked a whole lot of lumber from Bunnings but it's all deliberate and it really works. There's a lot of copper, cement and wood. It's schmick. Even the computer mouse and keyboard where we checked in was of a wood finish. They use a lot of recycled things such as old wine bottles for drink glasses and water. That's extra points for the environment right there. The room itself was long and fairly large. Despite being right next to a main road, the balcony door was well insulated from noise. The TV was easy to use. Rather than the standard TVs that most hotels use where they connect up an extra box to their hotel television system, this was all built-in into the Philips TV. Very clever. They also had an iPad that had hotel, TV, weather and city information. You can also browse the Internet on it. This hotel is really well thought out and staff are really, really courteous. They seem to be really happy to help.
The bed was one of those ones that fold from the wall. It was already folded out and made but the problem was the end of the bed that attaches to the wall had a large 15-20cm gap where the pillows would disappear to during the night. The bed itself was OK but this gap was just annoying. I woke a few times realising the pillows had slipped through that gap. Also, we went down to the bar and I went to the bar to order something. The guy said to find a seat and someone would come to take the order. 20 minutes passed before I had to go back and ask when someone would attend. This is only a minor complaint.
Everything particularly the range of local services
Easy to walk to locations of interest, good amenities in the apartment.
Reception staff need more training in customer service. Parking was problematic which needs some improvement.
Ambience was great, the place was a nice surprise and had a unique layout which gave us a buzz. Love the large bottles of bathroom goodies.
No TV in bedroom, only downstairs in the the loft.
Strolling distance to Floriade, extremely comfortable bed, cosy and beautifully appointed, handy parking, pleasant aspect.
Hard to fault, but perhaps a more generous supply of coffee would be good!
Smart design with comfortable and practical room and a balcony that provided a fantastic view over the lake and Parliament House in the distance. City centre, national museum and some restaurants are within walking distance. Art house cinema downstairs.
The staff were a little disorganised when we arrived - lift access card would not work and we were given the wrong keys. Additional cost for parking is also disappointing.
