I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Dive Hotel. There is a wonderful ambience the moment you enter the building. I particularly liked the great family like atmosphere and the friendliness of the owners and staff....and mustn't forget the owners' dogs !!!!! The make-your-own breakfast is a great innovation with the breakfast room and outside area being particularly welcoming. I will most definitely stay at Dive Hotel in the future when we visit our daughter who has just purchased an apartment less than 100m up Arden Street. Did I mention the location........wonderful......beach, views, endless restaurants, pubs, walks, public transport.....it has it all!!!!!

Right on Cogee beach (well, on the other side of the road from it). Great continental breakfast, if somewhat of a crush if you picked the wrong moment to get up, and no limit to what you could eat and drink right up until eleven or twelve noon. Informal atmosphere with very helpful staff with plenty of tourist information freely available. One mad poodle in residence who is great fun and no threat. No meals provided but you can bring your own carry out (plenty of places to buy food and drink) and bring it back to eat on a balcony or downstairs, as the kitchenette in the room minimal with little space to eat. Shower room has good shower, but tiny washbasin. Not much room for storing clothes in the room we had, so expect to live out of your suitcases. Voracious mosquito with vicious bite the only drawback to sleeping with the window open.

Fabulous in every way! Very attentive, caring staff. It was a warm and friendly environment. The rooms are modern and very stylish, but warm. The nicest place I've ever stayed.

Great location Bills itself as a boutique hotel at $200/night yet it looked like a run down hostel with dirty walls and peeling paint, dirty carpets and outdated furnishings.

We liked the informal, shared brekky. We liked the funky, but homey design features. We liked the relaxed feel and the relaxed staff. The tiny bathroom in our standard room was tricky.

I like the friendly greeting by the staff and the two lovely dogs. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we required for a night's stay. We were in Coogee for a wedding so only showered, then slept in the comfy bed before checking out. The creaky floorboards. Next time I will know what the complimentary ear plugs in the hall way were for.

Stayed as group of 4 for only 1 night. Would love to have stayed longer. Very cute beach stay. Not luxurious, but great location, friendly staff, great communal area for brekky, bbq or drinks. The 4 legged meet and greet team make you feel instantly at home. Well done for something a bit different.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel, actually we really loved being there. Firstly, location was amazingly great, just for one minute to walk to the beach. Also, there are pubs and restaurants. We would say that was prefect without size of the room we stayed. It was smaller than I expected. However, we can see our self to come back there really easily. We recommend Dive hotel strongly if people stay in Coogee.

Excellent service, clean and quiet rooms, great breakfast (Continental) with a selection of real coffees. It's proximity to Coogee beach is spot on, beach towels are provided, a nice boutique hotel feel with less than 20 rooms. George and Lucas (the dogs) are just divine and Bob the cat minds the desk. Overall a great stay at The Dive, with Coogee beach being less hectic than Bondi and easier to get around. We will return :) That we didn't book an ocean/beach view room, next time!

Great location and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms that do not have an ocean view effectivley have no view with frosted glass windows looking out at neighbours' walls. I found the room well appointed and comfortable but the decore in my room was a bit 'modern factory' for my liking. It's not really a business hotel as busses and taxis are close by but you have to drag your luggage with you to locate a taxi .I arrived after a long day and a long flight delay to be confronted by a flight of stairs up which I had to carry my luggage . Fortunately the welcome was friendly and helpful when I did get inside and service and facilites were great.

Loved it all from the moment we walked in the door. The guy on the desk was so welcoming, the room had everything we needed, even though we were in the smallest room. The breakfast was superb. Loved the invitation to use the kitchen and make a cup of tea anytime (unfortunately too busy with the conference to do this.) Loved the breakfast atmosphere, chat or read the paper. Thank you so much!! There was nothing at all I didn't like except I wasn't there nearly long enough. I will have to come back. So pleased I stayed there instead of the Crowne Plaza next door!!!
