Friendly staff, comfortable bed.

I didn't recieve an email telling me the code for after hours arrival so that was a little annoying

Staff are very friendly, has good common places and the room was exactly that we needed

All is fine and relaxing. This Hostel is better than an Hotel. The crew is friendly and very helpul. All the room and the amenities is very clean and tidy. Is situated in front of the main Shopping Center of the city, at 5 min walk from the Esplanade. Book with confidence

This hostel was exactly what i was looking for - quiet at night but sociable. The staff were really friendly & happy2 help me plan my week in Cairns. Would absolutely recommend. Is opposite a supermarket n post office n the 10 min walk to the seacfront passes lots of shops n restaurants.

Great reception with friendly staff available to book tours etc. clean communal areas and cute pool area.

Wifi didn't work in rooms even though you had to pay for it. Location ok but 5 blocks back from the front (restaurants/bars etc). Reception hours limited so if you arrive between 12-4pm there is no one there!!

The rooms are clean and comfortable. I was quickly offered a change of room when I mentioned that is can be noisy being next to the kitchen. The staff are really helpful. Emma and Chris helped me to plan and book all my activities and some of the accommodation for the rest of my stay in Australia - Thanks to you both.

The wifi didn't reach to the new room further back into the resort.

I stayed here for one week, the staff are really helpful and friendly, when I arrival cairns, they pick me up from bus station immediately. the kitchen is amazing, you can get any stuff you want. the room is very clean and tidy, the bed and pillow is very soft. I stay here like staying at home. it's the best backpacker I have been to.

The location of this hostel is excellent. It is just beside the shopping center and train station. The staff is very friendly and helped us book two trips.

The room only had one fan which was very hot in summer. It did not has good ventilation.

Friendly staff, good activities in the evening e.g. fire show, BBQ, movie nights etc. We went for private room with shared bathroom.

The room was clean but the shared bathroom and toilet could have been better. There was no soap provided with the toilet sink. Also there is a coin operated air con in the room. It kept running out of money before the stipulated duration which got a bit annoying in the night. The lighting in the room is a bit poor too. If you are looking for a budget option with great activities for evening then this is a good choice.

Great staff! Really take you under their wing with accommodation and trip bookings. Enjoyed the movie nights and had a great bbq nite also, good facilities and a great place to meet new people as a solo traveller! Ask for Emma who's a great hostess and will ensure your every need is catered for! Highly recommended!

The fact I had to leave to fly to Brisbane, where the locals are very rude!

The service is so considerate. I love the atmosphere there. The hostel is surounded by tropoical trees and the kitchen is so nice.

This is a good option to catch a train from Cairns: located in front of the station. Looks like it's a good hostel, people seem to enjoy it.

Very noisy until late; should be enjoyable for young people seeking fancy stays. You window may face the inner yard and then you are not able to sleep until everyone does. In the evening and early morning, when the train station is closed, you need to make a long way around to get on the city side.

Friendly helpful staff and It's a good hub for other activities, Tours and trips to local destinations can be arranged from the front counter.

The hostel like kitchen facilities are available all hours, Don't get a room near the kitchen as there are always people who are inconsiderate of other guests late at night.

Staff was very friendly and professional. Emma, in particular went out of her way to book us tours and find us other accommodations when they didn't have a 2nd night for us. Very inviting atmosphere and super comfy. We loved it there!

Cool backpackers. Was quite quiet and was able to rest in my private room. Staff were fantastic and very very helpful...nothing was too much to ask. The beds were comfy

Bit out of the way. Was a half hr walk to get to the Esplanade. The pool was pretty small and no breakfast availability which would have been good if you can't be bothered buying and making your own. I turned up at 2pm and the check in was closed between 12 and 4....which is pretty useless. This was very annoying and I had to be let in by some Swiss people who thankfully got me to my room!

Chilled out, helpful staff, good location, lots of facilities available including laundry and fridge in room

wish it had a bar or the bar next door didn't close so early, I would have spent more time there

Positives points: The hostel is well furnished, there is a lot of space and it's very relaxing, there is also a swimming pool. You can have good advices for your tours at the reception and it's very close to the city.

Negative point: you have to pay for internet.
