Very good location, lots of cafés bars restaurants and transport links. Clean, comfortable and friendly.
A little noisy outside at night if you were in one of the front facing rooms, seems to be a bit of a hangout out front for a few loud characters at night!
As usual, the staff were wonderful. Really no complaints, bit noisy on Saturday night, but that is no fault of the Motel.
Trams at the door, 3 routes so they run every few minutes with a destination choice of Collins St (112), Bourke St (96) (both via Southern Cross / Skybus) or Flinders Street Station (16 or 3a on weekends).
The building works / renovations were noisy, but they had dropped the prices and they didn't start until 8am.
The rooms were nice & tidy.
the staff member was rude to us when we thought that we had lost the key. The room door kept banging the whole night. Sound proof glass would be a good idea. if doing reno's put this on your website. looked ugly. could have stayed somewhere nicer for the money I payed, not to mention the extra for the parking In the back of the motel!!!
Everything about the hotel was defiantly up to scratch. 4 Stars :)
The only things that I could write that were a little off, was the noise of the renovations (which they couldn't help) and the noise of the homeless people outside, yelling and carrying on haha. but nothing at all was wrong with the hotel :)
For the prices I was very convenient n fair. I'd stay again!
Very clean, neat and tidy. The location is in the heart of St Kilda on the main street. Very cheat for the location. It is not a 5 star motel but it does the job for a night sleep.
The shower was blocked and no hot water and needed to carry all our bags up 3 flights of stairs
Right opposite the tram stop and 5 mins walk from the beach. A lovely Bakery next door.
The building work that was going on, but to be fair, we were told when we booked, and were given a bottle of wine as a gesture.
Internet photo better than the actual unit. Room very small and dated. Bathroom poor, Property under renovation. Equipment not working properly, asked to be fixed. Not done nor noted to be done. At least the beds were clean. Just a sad indication of not how to do it. Was not expecting the Hilton but a little better level of product. Sorry will not go back.
Location - was close to bars and the beach. Check out Acland st for bakeries in the morning. Parking available Price was really reasonable, would stay again.
Was a little hard to find, but the staff gave us clear directions. We were at the back of the building, which was probably quieter than the front (street facing) rooms.
price was good for location, basic hotel with good parking.
we asked for our rooms to be close together and this didn't happen. we were on the same floor but a bit too far apart.
Staff were good close to shops on the strip,
Many stairs and a bit of construction going on. Parking an additional $12.50 a day.
Had a room at the back so it was quiet, it was close to everything. The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable
No lift - awful lot of stairs to carry a suitcase up. Shower was on a timer - not enough time to shower and wash hair
No lift. Long walk up stairs. This may be improved following current renovations. We were not told that access to car park was through another car park so finding the car park was difficult on our arrival at night.
It was not made clear about the parking. To get into the park you had to go to reception 1st, so I ended up having to find normal street parking which is difficult there. I had difficulty spotting it amongst all the shops. I wanted to pay cash & my card was used without my permission ehrn my psrtner booked in before me. Not happy !
Very close to st kilda beach and right next to the tram stop so easy to get into the city
Thin Windows so very noisy at night when trying to sleep as bars are along the same road Renovations were taking place but we weren't told before arrival. Should've been charged less because it was very loud on our floor Rooms are cold even in October and heating didn't work
close to everything
Bed very hard and a lot of noise at night from the roadside
ease of accessing public transport, restaurants and the privacy. The flat was spacious, just enough room for an old fellow. good outlook.
the noise of revellers passing by and goons revving up their cars at 3am
Although an older building the room was very clean as was the linen and bathroom. Just walked out front door for the trams.
The only trouble I had was the light from outside, because I like a darker room for sleeping, but the bed was comfortable.
Location and price
Comfort of beds
Good value Location Tram 96 across the street
Staff were very helpful, location great, and cleanliness fantastic.
Was very noisy with tram stop just outside room. Mattress was very uncomfortable with very little padding on springs. Ran out of hot water after first shower.
The staff were lovely, great location
The street noise and the oyster light was out on the verandah so they had a flood light there that lit up the room but they did move it when I asked.
quiet at night, was clean but old
Bed was too small and room was nothing like viewed in the photo. Blinds did not close so room was light all night
