Loved the spa bath, and the heritage feel of the building. The service from the hosts was excellent and the location was great (make sure you try the Luther burger at the Winston!}. The Port and Sherry available to guests were a lovely touch.
The breakfast offerings could have been more artisanal, and the magazine selection needs to be refreshed big time.
We really appreciated how welcome we were made to feel. The owners were keen to provide everything we could possibly need.
everything is good!
Apple tree in the backyard garden Helpful staff Charming building and breakfast room Proximity to take away restaurants
Windows in room hard to open and to keep open / impression of hazard Air was needed due to warm weather
Size of room
Nothing of consequence
It was truely one of the loveliest stays ever
Old world atmosphere. Garden. Staff went out of their way to be helpful
Steps for elderly mother
The host and hostess were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed them and their historical home in Hobart. I wish we could have stayed longer.
I the location , staff treatment for guests , flixability . Free wi-fi and parking The place was clean
The price was expensive ,looking at the price some stuff were unexpected : The room was small There was no bath
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Everything was lovely and clean and there were little extras, such as port and lollies. Breakfast was continental, but had a nice range of fresh fruit as well as the usual things. The bed was really comfortable.
The B&B is beautiful with lots of original features and a lovely garden. The two bedroom suite was very comfortable. And most of all we loved being welcomed by cheerful hostess Tina with a small tour of the house and all infomation we needed.
Loved the period setting and the friendly hosts!
Service was excellent.
No dislikes at all.
Got all we would expect in a B&B and more. Host and hostess are very helpful and hospitable. Location is good and there are a lot restaurants and shops within walking distance. 房东可以讲普通话的。
A little bit expensive.
Excellent Hosts, perfect location.
Very friendly and solicitous owners, great attention to detail and very helpful
If you don't have a car it's a good walk from city centre - less suitable if your fitness is not good. There are buses but we didn't bother. Car parking in city is limited in any event.
The atmosphere, the beautiful old building, beautiful garden, the hosts (wonderful), an excellent breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay at the Elms.
Amazing breakfast, super friendly hosts, spacious room, clean modern bathroom, TV, fridge, outlook onto garden
The house is beautiful, and the room is clean. The location is good as it is close to quite a few restaurants.
The owner of the house is a little bit picky regarding in-room food (she declined us to eat vegetable salad with tuna in our room for Australian Open, and asked us to finish it in the garden... It was so cold outside at night! :-( )...It would be great if the owner is more considerate about the guests...
Tina the host was very friendly and helpful and always willing to have a chat. The location is great with lots of eating places very close by and the location is even close enough (a few km) to walk to the water if you want. Breakfasts were great and plenty of it.
Nothing really. The shower was a bit temperamental but I find they all are.
This was a great stay, Tina and Raymond are fabulous hosts. We would highly recommend the Elms to everyone.
The cosines &personalised service you don't get in some hotels. The little touches in the rooms & house far outweigh just being a number in a big hotel.
The only thing a little disappointing in our spa suite was that the bath was only big enough for one person but that may not bother a lot of people.
The hostess is really nice! The house is beautiful, ancient and comfortable. It has a very nice garden.
Friendly staff. Informative. Lovely heritage surroundings which is relaxing and quiet
Just a little distance from the city but that's part of the charm
The room was quite 'romantic' we just loved it. Very clean and well thought out, loved the breakfast room, the selection of cereals, toast, eggs etc were great start to a busy day. Would recommend Elms to anyone.
